Lord, I question whether I've had my fill
Lord, I question whether I can take much more
You may laugh as I lay here bleeding
No more afters or befores

Some day you'll know just how I feel
You left me there twice before
Some day you'll know just how it feels
Shattered, cast aside, stripped of your pride
Like you were never nothing special
Made you feel like another spoke in the wheel

So you say I'm just another dollar
So you say I'm just another day yeah
Once my blood was strong but now its jaded and its thin
Unlike you I can still tell right from wrong

Some day you'll know just how it feels
While you left me there twice before
Some day you'll know just how it feels
Shattered, cast aside, stripped of your pride
Like you were never nothing special
Made you feel like another spoke in the wheel

Some day you'll know just how it feels
While you left me there twice before
Some day you'll know just how it feels
Shattered, cast aside, stripped of your pride
Like you were never nothing special
Made you feel like another spoke in the wheel

My Interpretation:I believe this song is about a girl who left him, gave him a second chance and then left him again, hence the line "you left me there twice before" and when she left him, he had nothing, and was stripped of all his pride and what not.

General Comment:Well, whether this song was written in reference to a particular time or space, it can be taken in many different ways.

I always thought this song was about someone very close to him - his father perhaps, or a former best friend. Someone he has realized will never be the person he needs them to be.
But I don't know that much about Zakk Wylde. This was just how I interpreted the tone of the song.

General Comment:Dude, Slash is great. Better than Zakk? No. But he's a great guitarist nonetheless. Say what you want about GNR, you may not like them, but nobody can deny the impact they had on the music world. And Zakk is friends with Axl (I even recall him saying in an interview that Axl "is a sweet guy" or "sweetheart" or some shit. If you like BLS better than GNR, that's fine (I do too, for the most part). The only knock I have against GNR is that they didn't hang around long enough to put out very much material, but what they gave us was some good shit.

Spoke In The Wheel is a great song, period, no matter how it's interpreted.

General Comment:Fuck GnR, Fuck Slash cause BLS and Zakk is better. Speaking of it, Slash is one of those highly praised piece of shits whose (un)talented skill is exploited by millions just to create a trend/fashion statement. I mean, really, what the fuck is the difference between Sweet Child O' Mine and Welcome to the Jungle? Having said that, all of the songs from them sound the same. This is why I hate Slash and hope he chokes on his own pride.

Well I love this song and now that I've figured it out here that one of the most overrated piece of shit bands made him look like a loser, this song means much more. SDMF MOTHERFUCKER! And don't you ever forget it you fucking jokes, GnR. See you in hell you two-faced pricks.

General Comment:So you say that that Axl Rose or a gurl is Lord? I can't agree with you. I think this song's about how we got kicked from heaven. And that makes us feel like shit sometimes. And we start to think that God doesn't care for us anymore. And we are born for nothing and will die someday. All that will remain is a spoke in the wheel.

General Comment:I agree with rainman824, you can apply it to a girl if you want to but I remember hearing about that somewhere before and I know he went on tour with GNR.
