She loves you yeh, yeh, yeh,
She loves you yeh, yeh, yeh.
You think you lost your love,
Well I saw her yesterday - yi - yay.
She sats she loves you,
And you know that can’t be bad,
Yes, she loves you,
And you know you should be glad.
She said you hurt her so,
She almost lost her mind,
And now she says she knows,
You’re not the hurting kind.
She says she loves you,
And you know that can’t be bad,
She says she loves you,
And you know you should be glad.
She loves you yeh, yeh, yeh,
She loves you yeh, yeh, yeh.
And with a love like that,
You know you should be glad.
You know it’s up to you,
I think it’s only fair,
Pride can hurt you too,
Apologize to her.
Because she loves,
And you know that can’t be bad,
Yes, she loves you,
And you know you should be glad.
She loves you yeh, yeh, yeh,
She loves you yeh, yeh, yeh.
With a love like that,
You know you should be glad.
With a love like that,
You know you should be glad.
With a love like that,
You know you should be glad.
Yeh, yeh, yeh,
Yeh, yeh, yeh.

General Comment:Such a simple song about love. Even if the love is unrequited, (to me) it's always an honor to have someone love us. From the song, she loves him:)

General Comment:I always think that the person who is singing it is directing to
another guy (like " i saw her yesterday' she said she "loves you")

and he is in love with the girl as well so he's saying that it cant be
bad and that the other guy should be glad (because he has her).

General Comment:It's funny because whenever they sing "She said she loves you and you know that can't be bad" it sounds like one voice is singing "She said she'd love to and you know that can't be bad." (and just so you don't think I'm crazy... here is another source saying the same thing: pootle.demon.co.uk/…)
Anyway... I love this song, their early stuff is phenomenal.

General Comment:The girl hurt the boy and then he hurt her back rather than trying to fix it, and he thought she didn't klove him anymore or somthing, and they haven't spoken in a while. Then his friend saw her the other day and she told him to say she still loved him, and she gave up her pride to be with him, but the boy i nthe relationship is afraid to let go of his pride just yet, so his friend is trying to explain how she really does love him. All he has to do is apologize and he can be back where he belongs (with the girl). This one is actually really straightforward. It's just one of the few I actually understand, so I thought I'd share :)

Oh, and that is really sweet Dreffy! Congratulations.

General Comment:Paul said in an interview that they were always felt competitive when writing songs - not necessarily John vs Paul, but the Beatles vs all of the other local groups. So they would always try to do something a little different. Most of their songs to this point were 1st person narrative (From ME to YOU, Love ME Do, Please Please ME, etc.); this one was from a 3rd person perspective - seeing a relationship from an outsiders point of view.
