Loose lips sunk ships
I'm getting to grips with what you said
No, it's not in my head
I can't awaken the dead
Day after day

Why don't we talk about it?
Why do you always doubt that there can be a better way?
It doesn't make me wanna stay

Why don't we break up?
There's nothing left to say
I got my eyes shut, praying they won't stray
And we're not sexed up
That's what makes the difference today
I hope you blow away

You say we're fatally flawed
Well, I'm easily bored, is that okay?
Write me off your list
Make this the last kiss
I'll walk away

Why don't we talk about it?
I'm only here, don't shout it
Given time we'll forget
Let's pretend we never met

Why don't we break up?
There's nothing left to say
I got my eyes shut, praying they won't stray
And we're not sexed up
That's what makes the difference today
I hope you blow away

Screw you, I didn't like your taste anyway
I chose you and that's all gone to waste
It's Saturday, I'll go out and find another you

Why don't we?
Why don't we break up?
There's nothing left to say
I got my eyes shut, praying they won't stray
And we're not sexed up
That's what makes the difference today
I hope you blow away
I hope you blow away
I hope you blow away
I hope you blow away
Blow away
Away
Just not today

Just a few corrections to the lyrics, if I may!

1st Verse: Loose lips sunk ships I'm getting to grips with what you said No it's not in my head I can't awaken the dead day after day

Chorus: Why don't we break up There's nothing left to say I've got my eyes shut Praying they wont stray And we're not sexed up That's what makes the difference today. I hope you blow away!

2nd Verse: You say we're fatally flawed Well I'm easily bored, Is that okay?...

Screw you, I didn't like your taste anyway I chose you, and that's all gone to waste, it's Saturday I'll go out and find another you.

The rest is right as far as I can tell.

Good song by the way, captures the bitterness that's often felt at the end of the relationship when you try to convince the other person you never really cared much about them anyway. It seems the only thing that could have saved this relationship would have been the sex and not even this is any good anymore so they might as well give up!

This is a very dryly clever split up song. "It's Saturday, I'll go out and find another you ." so bitter, and perfectly exemplifies how every guy pretends to feel when his better half calls it quits. Top notch song.

It's such a sad song. It makes me cry every time I listen to it. No matter how hard these words may seem, I think they're sang with much pain. Great song.

Yeah, it's great. I prefer the acoustic version (in No Regrets cd single I think), it sounds even more real. I'm sure he didn't mean the words he's saying back then and so he is just pretending that he doesn't care. He said on "The Robbie Williams Show" dvd that he made his then girlfriend listen to it and she -of course- started to cry after it. He also said that if you look at the year it was written (1998) you would know who it was written for. So it means it was written about Nicole Appleton, I guess.

I have a little question, i'm from Argentina and i'm studyong english so this is a nice way to learn a little more this language. My question is,: what does exactly "sexed up" means?

Then... there is not the final part of the song where Robbie says very very low: "just not today". Then, after this all he does not want her to go away. I really really like that part.

    I'm new =P

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
