Good morning sunshine awake when the sun hits the sky
Look up the sounds that surround the day you died
She waits for me outside near a hole in the ground
In the one way thinking you might get the upper hand
Dear Newo Ikkin how's Apollo been treating you?
Has he been a good boy since the day I left?
Give him my love and a sweet kiss for his head
Cause I won't be coming home, when you get this I'll be dead

Narris and Larry, Gloria to nowhere
Sir, I think you'd better take my hand and pray we make this one out alive
Captain! we've lost all systems control then son I'll see you in my sleep

Is it all you've shared with them that makes us paranoid?
Is it the dream that one day you might be something you're not?
Is it all you've shared with them that makes us paranoid?
Is it the dreams that makes us real?

We'll miss you and wait for you when you come
Wrong way, right way bad luck what god has been giving me
We'll miss you and wait for you when you come
Wrong way, right way bad luck you've got to be kidding me

I've spent so long sitting down here,
Paper cut my heart in half and discard the evidence
When it's yours come send me the last half
Dowsed in kerosene in a torched, blazed blood bath
When boy sets fire god knows you've lost at a cost that has no price
When you've purchased guilt
Stand at attention and make sure you know lines and yourself

Yet you'd say I'll be home alone again waiting
Wait for me alright, I'm still a boy down there when you want to promise me that
I won't fail you now
Dear captain send the S.O.S we're gonna go down

General Comment:Actually, this song is supposed to be the character's (Claudio's) letter to his girlfriend, Newo Ikkin, when he leaves to find out what happened to his family. He leaves her for her own good, expecting that he shall eventually suffer the same fate as his siblings (death), and he wants to keep her out of danger. The other parts of the song, specifically the parts about the ship going down, describe the part in the story where Coheed and Cambria have overtaken a ship which was supposed to bring them to a planet under the control of Wilhem Ryan (the antagonist) and his troops. Cambria accidentally destroys the core that powers the ship, so dooming everyone aboard including them and the enemy troops (who still have families at home). Apollo is Newo Ikkin's dog, who is fatally wounded when he tries to protect her from a murderous mutant bent on finding and killing Claudio, who is prophetically the only person capable of stopping Wilhelm Ryan from controlling all of the planets in Heaven's Fence and destroying the Keywork (a beam of light that holds all of the planets together).

General Comment:I hear (and interpret a bit on my own) that this song is partly Coheed and Cambria hijacking the Gloria Vel Vessel (taking the captain Larry and Norris the Navigator hostage) and how they fear that the ship is going to crash. Coheed is starting to feel the effects of the Monstar virus (that Mayo tricked him into taking into himself) and tries to convince himself that he is just imaging things ('Is it all you've shared with them that makes us paranoid? Is it the dream that one day you might be something you're not?')

Meanwhile, Claudio, who thinks his whole family is dead and realizes he is a danger to all those remaining around him, writes a suicide note to his girlfriend Newo. Presumably in Neverender he is about to attempt suicide, and changes his mind. But he does leave Newo a note, and presumably it is the suicide one anyway. I guess just so she'd believe him dead and never be any the wiser if someone came looking for him. She would be innocent~.

General Comment:Nevermind the comic book meaning. its nice that you all enjoy specifics so much but im gonna give it my own interpretation. Claudio is on the road and wrote this song as a sort of shout out to his friends at home. Newo Ikkin is, i'm guessing, Nikki Owen, a friend of Claudio's who is taking care of his dog while on tour. Norris and Larry could possibly be his friends. Him saying "when you get this I'll be dead" could mean that he knows he is going to change on the road. The rest of the song seems to be taken from conversations he has had with friends about life and change and such. The original version of the song opens with sound clips from "Army of Darkness", again, leading me to believe the song is dedicated to his homies, Army of Darkness being a movie I have shared the viewing of with my friends, time and time again.

General Comment:Coheed says "Gloria to nowhere...", word for word on the Gloria Vel Vessa in Amory Wars Vol.2 Issue1.

Once Claudio comes home to find Josephine dead, he is chased away by a Priest and doesn't go back...ever, from what we know so far. I think the "wrong way, right way" lines are him trying to find his way offworld.

General Comment:After fleeing from the Kilgannon house in Everything Evil, Claudio decides that he has to leave Hetricus, and Newo, behind in order to keep her safe from whatever is after him. He visits her house and watches her sleep for a while, eventually saying a mental goodbye to her and taking a photo of her to keep. He stows aboard the Guile Griever, a trash hauling ship, and it leaves Hetricus for good. Meanwhile, on it’s way to Paris: Earth, the Gloria Vel Vessa has come into trouble and Coheed and Cambria fear that the ship may crash.

This is about Cambria dying, and Coheed burying her on Paris: Earth.

The second part is about Claudio writing a goodbye letter to Newo and Apollo, because he knows he's going to be dead soon.

"Narris and Larry, Gloria to nowhere
Sir, I think you'd better take my hand and pray we make this one out alive
Captain! we've lost all systems control
Then son, I'll see you in my sleep"

This part is about Coheed finding a way out of Paris: Earth, but obviously something goes wrong, the ship crashes, and Coheed dies.

And Viciousadvent is probably right about everything else.

General Comment:Ive also noticed when the song gets softer
" Wrong way right way bad luck what God hads been giving me" he starts speaking
" I dnt belive whats mine was included in the contract" maybe there was an aggrement to Newo Ikkin and himself
