We must recognize that life and freedom and meaning cannot be found within ourselves (our finite experiences here on earth can have no metaphysical foundation in the moment or in our lives).     General Comment:Wow this song is almost a complete rip-off of X-Ray Eyes by Guster.

    I lost a ton of respect for Switchfoot just now.

    Before people mark me down, check it out. X-Ray eyes was years before this song.

    General Comment:wow this song is so sweet and true. one of their most beautiful songs. i believe its about having that special someone that you can find peace within, refuge from the world, when you feel confused...
    everyone has something that they have to get through, and this song just speaks about that special someone, be it family, a close friend, or that girl your searching for.

    General Comment:First of all , it's one of the most sad songs ive ever known. first i didnt relate it to God, it could even be a person which gave you strength , and who is or was very important to you. I think the song could be written about God ór a special person. Anyway, it's good. I also got to know switchfoot by " a walk to remember" but i dont understand why it should be a bad thing. its not like the movie is that well-known. Other songs from them ( apart from the songs on the walk to remember soundtrack) are also very good. xoxo-
