General Comment:This is a great song. It resembles music in it's purest form: Pure noise. This song probably sums up the White Stripes' intention for the entire White Blood Cells album.

General Comment:i think it shows that Jack can do what ever he wants and that he dosen't make music to be popular or to compete with other bands. Alot of Jack's music is designed solely to get a reaction whether that reaction be good or bad.

I personally love this song because it breaks up the album perfectly.

    General Comment:Oh, obviously.

I laughed so hard when I got to this page: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Who knows what Jack meant by this song, robots or no robots (which would be really scary, though), but maybe the fact that it's so brash and ugly and AHHHHHH is the point. Maybe we're supposed to skip it when we listen to WBC, because we should hate its aluminum/techno quality. I hated it at first, but I like it because it reminds me of stuff like that - how ugly and creepy robots are, for example.

I also think this is about a guy who loves a girl but can't tell her, so all he says is "ah". Or a guy who loves a guy; hence the "ah". Or a guy who smells a rat and thinks, "ah", I smell a rat. Ah. Or a robot, who is freaking creepy. "ah".

General Comment:isn't the awesome range of reactions to this song proof that it is itself awesome?
what i like about aluminium is that it seems like part of the process rather than a product. its experimental rather than a result. its sort of a behind the scenes special into jack's mind.
you could take two views on this song. it could be some raw sound where nothing is important. or everything is important. i prefer the latter. theres alot going on underneath the surface of this song.
the 'ahhhhhh's stay at the same pitch the whole song and really give life to the rest of it. and the guitar-squeals at the end of alot of the lines where the chords lift off are a subtle feature too.
