In my mind you never left
Falling wasn't true
I had faith you flew past the sky
Straight through the night
And the sun reflects the night
Carrying the very same thing
In your heart that saved me
But maybe you've stopped listening
Falling on my selfish ways
It takes faith to see
So close your eyes and search
Deeper than just memories
I never stopped believing in you and me
Your leaving never changed things
I've been here for too long
To just walk away

General Comment:The Changing Of Times is the best album by Underoath so far. I love this album so much!
So depressing! So emotional! It's just brilliant!
    Really makes me think...
New album is just SHIT, comparing with this.!

    General Comment:This song is depressing.
Pretty much he is holding onto the relationship even though she is dead, he's loved her too long to just let go ("i've been here for too long
    to just walk away")

General Comment:I think its about his girlfriend that died and in his mind she never left but he knows and he still trys to talk to her but no one answers his prayers "maybe you stopped listening"

"i never stopped beliving in you and me
    Your leaving never changed things"

He never thought that now she was gone they were not together anymore. He thought that they were still together

I dont know thats how i relate to it my girlfriend died and i will never get over it and i still think shes some where alive. I think were still together im getting her name tatooed on my wrist when im 18

Any way awsome song i can relate to all there songs cause when my girlfriend died i lost faith in god.

Does any one know where i can get "cries of the past" and "act of depression" for a decent price everywhere i looked theyre like 200 bucks fuck that

General Comment:This song is about after the whole tragidy of Dallas and that Jazz.. He's saying that he never wanted to actually believe that his girlfriend was dead. In this mind, she was always there. At the end of the song he says He's been here for too long to just walk away... That means that theres more to this than just death. He can't just give everything up. Amazing.

It seems pretty clear to me what this song is about...two people are together, in love, and then one of them leaves the other one. Whether "leaving" means ending the relationship and moving on or dying or something else, it's still leaving the other person alone. And the other person won't, or can't, move on from it. They can't "just walk away," and they can't stop believing in that relationship, in that love, no matter how long the other person has been gone for.
I've personally been going through this for what seems like forever now, and I can definitely relate...it doesn't get easier with time. Love is love, and when you've lost it, you're never really whole again until the one you loved comes back.

    General Comment:this song is amazing..
    when i first heard it..
i figured it to be about a girl..
but if you really comprehend and understand the lyrics,
    its about losing faith.
    he's trying to hold on,
while others are just "walking away"
    great message.
great band *cough* with dallas *cough*
    great song.

dallas made this band for me.
    now there just..there.

General Comment:I think it's about two people that both left God. The one came back (the one singing) and the one he's singing too didn't come back.

General Comment:This song made me cry when I saw Underoath live.. because my ex handed me these lyrics after I made the mistake of leaving him.
