    My Interpretation:i always felt reminded to the movie 'rebel without a cause' when i listen to this...
    jim, that got kicked out of his old school, that got told to not break the rules again by his parents.
    but he ends up breaking rules again and gets together with this girl...
    yeah, it just reminds me of it. ;)

    General Comment:i think he's new and she's a popular girl. and the rules he's breaking are like the social junior high type rules. he wonders if she even knows who he is or knows his name. it's a cute song. jack white is good at making us feel like children by relating to childish feelings.
