Lyrics for Stop Crying Your Heart Out as interpreted by scottishboy

Stop Crying Your Heart Out Lyrics
Hold up
Hold on
Don't be scared
You'll never change what's been and gone

May your smile (may your smile)
Shine on (shine on)
Don't be scared (don't be scared)
Your destiny may keep you warm

'Cause all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

Get up (get up)
Come on (come on)
Why're you scared? (i'm not scared)
You'll never change what's been and gone

'Cause all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

'Cause all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

We're all of us stars
We're fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see us some day
Just take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out
Stop crying your heart out
Stop crying your heart out

I think that this song is addressing someone who is near death. I can always picture someone (in a very movie-esque scene) singing this in a hospital while holding onto some persons hand. It's sort of encouraging them to not fear death, and to look forward to a better place where they'll see everyone again. Love it.

This is one of my favourites songs EVER. It's so touching. The words are sung with such passion from Liam; it's amazing. Whenever I feel down I listen to this song, and it helps me so much. It helps you to realise that life goes on, and you have to get on with it. I especially love the lyrics, 'Don't be scared, you're destiny may keep you warm.' It tells us that no matter how shitty life may feel, it will get better - you should look forward to the future. I also love the title of the song. 'Stop crying your heart out' - it's kinda metaphoric. You can't actually cry your heart out. It just bloody well feels like it sometimes. Anyway, I'm blabbering. Very uplifting, beautiful song, that I shall listen to forever and ever! (Amen)

Ive loved Oasis for a long, long, time..but ive never been in a situation to truley appriciate what people are getting at when they say a song uplifts them and just knocks them back, reduces them to absolute tears..
Right now I think for the first time im depressed, ive never known a song mean so much too me.

The best Oasis' song, I liked this song since the first time I listened it, but I forgot it...
But this summer (Winter in USA or Europe) I saw "the butterfly effect" and it was impressive how this song was MADE FOR THIS MOVIE, it was incredible, how this song was played while the movie was ending, saying that you can't change the past, but you don't have to be scared, you just have to keep going no matter what. AWESOME really a great song...

this song is amazing and really gets to me, i have been a fan of oasis since i was about 6, i'm 15 now, so - how long have they been around for? i might have my calculations incorrect, but i've been a fan since they were first around, and this is one of my favourite songs, second to don't look back in anger.

Yeah, it's really used smartly in the butterfly effect. It makes perfect sense with the movie's end. Great song. Teary eyed at the end of the Butterfly Effect. It's very beautiful.

The lyrics don't do much for me, but the chorus is what's important. It helps me to accept things for what they are, in all forms spiritual and benign, and all things in between. It's powerful, and it's so soulful.

To me, it helped me get over my ex-girlfriend as she virtually stopped talking to me, and broke my heart. This song makes a good remedy for a wounded soul.

The song is helping me get through some rough times right now...one of many.

It's so refreshing to listen to this song cranked up to max volume and walk home from work...at night. It's so peaceful and powerful.

This song is definately nothing less than phenomenal. It's so beautiful and bittersweet, the type of song you play on repeat in your room after a rough day and just vibe to. It's a spark of hope that everything will be okay, don't be sour, don't cry, it'll all work out. If only there were more optimistic songs as lovely as this.

Wow, this song takes me back to 2002. I remember being down and this song would make me burst in tears. It still does, its message is so true, the music is so calm and haunting...it gives me hope, and makes me want to get better, but makes me sad at the same time because of how fast time actually goes by and you haven't changed that much - and before you know it, you're not so young anymore, and you and your favourite people have estranged. So sad.

Again as I said in another review, I didn't read anhy of the pervious comments before i posted it, so if this is just another repeat, I apologize. This song has multiple messeges, and is very powerful. It means a lot to me and I am sure many others, I believe it is one of Oasis's greatest. This is what I think this song means:

hold up
hold on
don't be scared
you'll never change whats been and gone

may your smile (may your smile)
shine on (shine on)
don't be scared (don't be scared)
your destiny may keep you warm

He is just saying just wait a while, not to be scared of what the future brings, what's to come, all the things that have occoured in the past can't be changed so don't let it bring you down, just flow with it. He is hoping that you'll get through, guided by the better memories and the things you've learned from mistakes, etc. To keep believing that you've got things ahead of you. It may be to a person about to commit suicide, which is why it made me fall and shed tears, a friend gave this to me. The video considers the same image, the girl has a jug of gasoline and throughout the video, they are lighting a match. Suicide by fire? maybe.

cos all of the stars
are fading away
just try not to worry
you'll see them some day
take what you need
and be on your way
and stop crying your heart out

get up (get up)
come on (come on)
why're you scared? (i'm not scared)
you'll never change
whats been and gone

The lines "Cuz all of the stars, have faded away, just try not to worry, you'll see them someday" are simply too beautiful. The mean so much and go along so well. He is saying yeah, things are bad, hope is hard to find, and things are gtting worse, but he wants to let you know that it has to get worse to get better, there's something waiting for you behind all this, something that'll make it all worth the while. A light at the end of the tunnel. Get up, start fighting through the bad times, don't be afraid of what will come next, just keep going. You can't change what's happened in the past, but you can make your future better, so do it. Stop feeling bad about what's already happened.

The rest just repeats itself. This song is amazing, never before have I heard something that has touched me and made me think so deeply. I now know what I have to do. I hope Oasis just keeps these songs going. #1 band.

I think my best friend's moving this summer. I'm really, really gonna miss him, like you have no idea. I think I might actually love him.
"Cause all of the stars,
Have faded away,
Just try not to worry,
You'll see them someday"
...it gives me hope.
