In The End Lyrics
It starts with one
One thing I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme To explain in due time All I know Time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away It's so unreal Didn't look out below Watch the time go right out the window Trying to hold on but didn't even know Wasted it all just to Watch you go I kept everything inside and even though I tried it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when... I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall to lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter One thing I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme To remind myself how I tried so hard In spite of the way you were mocking me Acting like I was part of your property Remembering all the times you fought with me I'm surprised it got so (far) Things aren't the way they were before You wouldn't even recognize me anymore Not that you knew me back then But it all comes back to me In the end You kept everything inside and even though I tried it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I tried I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall to lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go for all this There's only one thing you should know I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There's only one thing you should know I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall to lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter It starts with One thing I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme To explain in due time All I know Time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away It's so unreal Didn't look out below Watch the time go right out the window Trying to hold on but didn't even know Wasted it all just to Watch you go I kept everything inside and even though I tried it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when... I think this song is about a relationship. It makes me think of my parents actually because this song perfectly describes how my mom must feel... It's about how you try to hard to make that person happy, do everything you can but it still doesn't work. You've done everything you can, pushed as hard as you can go, but in the end it didnt' even matter, everything still just fell apart. I think it's pretty straight-forward. Awesome song, maybe my favorite of LinkinPark's.

That's pop for you.
And don't say LP isn't pop. Don't think you're cool because you listen to the nu-metal and you're angsty and you wear the same god damned clothes every day.
Listen to some real music sometime, open up your mind. Don't just listen to whatever the radio plays, under the assumption that it's God's Gold-Plated Shit.

For Example in the song when it says "It starts with one..." well, that can mean a lot of things; One human, one disaster, etc.
"Watch the time go right out the window..." could imply that the world has turned cold (not tempauture) with pollution, plauge, war, etc. and nobody really took the time to enjoy what was around them while they still can.
There are many more examples. Watch the video, listen to the lyrics carefully and you'll see that there is more to the song than most people think. And whoever thinks the song is about a torn relationshp than I advise you to expand your mind. Maybe the official song meaning of the song is (god forbid) about a torn relationship, but Linkin Park is not your typical band. They want you to use your minds and make of their songs whatever you want.

Ok, that feels better.
1. I'm a fan
2. This song is LP's second best effort, in my opinion "My December" is their best song
3. LP in no way panders to "teenie boppers" Their music is promoted and played by alt-rock stations and pop-stations around the country. So what if they show up on MTV once in a while? Can you honestly say that if you were put in the same position (you are in a band, you make music, it gets overplayed, you make lots of money because of this) that you wouldn't try and spread your music around some, make a few guest appearances on TRL or some other similarly crappy show. I get tired of people talking about bands that become popular as "sell outs". Just a note, music is a business too, and one of the goals is, get this, SELLING!

But in the end is out of date
Still love the song
dont get me wrong
But overplaying was it's fate
Linkin park is Second best
TJT above the rest
You think I'm wrong
But song for song
TJT you can't Detest
Oh, And wait... Just one more thing
The Best Vid is by far Crawling
By the end of the day
In the end is so gay
It looks so fake when it's playing

And in the end is not out of date
We all love the song
Who doesn't is wrong
And the song doesn't have a fate
Linkin Park is not even second best
Tool rises above the rest
If you think I'm wrong
Then you can suck my dong
But In The End you can't Detest
Wait there's one more thing
The best vid is definitely not Crawling
True the chick in there is really hot
But it's not In the End

I didn't say I didn't like In The End, I said It was overplayed. If your too blind to realize that its played 20 times a day on the radio, maybe you should get your head out of your [rear-end] and wake up and smell the coffee.
I've said it again, and that will be all.
The Juliana Theory is above you all.

First of all - it's not MTV's fault. I'm not even subscribed to MTV. Much plays it alot, but i dont watch muchmusic much either. Its played on the radio way too much across Canada, america, and who knows where else. Not as much anymore as it used to, which is why i dont hate the song anymore. Its a great song. I just said it was overplayed. And somehow, that got screwed around in your head and now you seem to think that I think it sucks. Linkin Park has some of the best music I've ever heard, But that doesn't make them a good band.
Secondly, have you heard them live? Anyone can sing these days, cause the studio can change and format your voice however you want. On a stage live, there is no studio mixers. Thats the idea of 'live' music. And when they suck live, then it demonstrates that they aren't as talented as most people think. I mean, they can play their instruments well, and they have the heart and popularity to be that famous, but that doesn't mean he can sing! And when you see people like britney spears sing live, they aren't even singing live! They're lip-sync-ing the words as they dance. Pretty nice sixty dollar concert. The point is, If they can't sing live, they can't sing.
Just thought I'd clarify that. Maybe you should read it a few more times so you know what I said before you make up your stories. Thanks for your time, and that will be all.
