In The End Lyrics
It starts with one
One thing I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme To explain in due time All I know Time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away It's so unreal Didn't look out below Watch the time go right out the window Trying to hold on but didn't even know Wasted it all just to Watch you go I kept everything inside and even though I tried it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when... I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall to lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter One thing I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme To remind myself how I tried so hard In spite of the way you were mocking me Acting like I was part of your property Remembering all the times you fought with me I'm surprised it got so (far) Things aren't the way they were before You wouldn't even recognize me anymore Not that you knew me back then But it all comes back to me In the end You kept everything inside and even though I tried it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I tried I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall to lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go for all this There's only one thing you should know I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There's only one thing you should know I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall to lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter It starts with One thing I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme To explain in due time All I know Time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away It's so unreal Didn't look out below Watch the time go right out the window Trying to hold on but didn't even know Wasted it all just to Watch you go I kept everything inside and even though I tried it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when... Metallica and Van Halen could play circles around you cum-guzzlers with small "units." Ha, I laugh!
I've got big balls, I've got big balls...
For those of you that are thinking "what the hell" right now, those are lines from an AC/DC song. But you're probably to f#cking stupid to know that.

Ok, I don't like or hate a band because they are popular or not. All well known bands have sold out, listen to the Tool song "Hooker With A Penis" you will see what I mean by that.
But there's a difference between a band with talent(Tool, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, even Pantera). And a band that does what is popular, spin-offs of other bands. And probably don't make music they love playing, but make music that record company's and producers tell them to make, with 1 main goal TO SELL RECORDS. The lyrics are blatant, no double meanings, no good usage of metaphors, no deep content. It's like their lyrics are made so everyone can understand and 'relate' to them. The best bands don't relate to EVERYONE, only the certain people that feel the music or the lyrics. Linkin Park tries to do everything they can to make everyonel like them. And that's not rock and roll man.
And wtf was that thing with the X-ecutioners? Wtf is any of their music? Bubble gum rock I think is a good title.

A person with the name "ToolAPC" who likes Linkin Park?
Ok...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Now that I got that out of my system...
ToolAPC:
How can you possibly like Linkin Park after listening to Tool and APC? The meanings of Tool and APC are so deep that it makes Linkin Park look like a little pond compared to APC's ocean. It's that diffrent.

I thought that this place wasn't to judge the quality of music but rather what it meant.
At any rate this is my two cents on that arguement
I once read some place that sometimes you listen to music because you want to dance and not think aobut the meaning and, other times, you want to think.
Having said that, to me this song holds a good deal of meaning.
It touches on the frustration of relationships and their failure and that no matter what we may try or think, it sometimes isn't enough.
Many people can relate to that.
I am, however, anxious to see if their album Meteora will measure up to Hybrid Theory.

So, yeah, Linkin Park....Lmfao that so people are getting stressed out about people saying they've sold out. Of course they're sold out, wait, I very much doubt they even played fro the music anyways. But hey, In The End..such fantastic lyrics, urm, yeah, I won't try saying that again :p Awful lyrics, designed to appeal to the mainstream, a 8 year old could write these lyrics, jeez. And can I just ask this question...if the members were ugly would you still like them? ...At least with a mainstream band like Slipknot you're not gonna get all the teen girls screaming as loud as they can at concerts.....Ah, and what the hell is up with this dj mixer crap? Man....this shouldn't have anything to do with metal, who the hell came up with 'nu-metal'?
So, hey, teenieboppers, sorry if I offended you, I know you hate people with a opinion thats not yours (or shall I say, the mainstream's).

My point was that at least Slipknot (even though in my opinion-they kinda suck) at least they don't rely on teenieboppers for their fan support. I mean, if Linkin Park were ugly do you really think so many people would like them? No. Of course not.
Hah, jeez, do you even listen to metal music, isn't it obvious what Slipknot are talking about, the song people=shit is kinda obvious.....Come on, ::groans when realizing he's defending slipknot:: But seriously, at least Slipknot have depth, and in some ways I admire them for not relying on MTV good looks and tradtional corporate MTV crap to sell their cd's.
And dude, I'm almost 100% certain you wouldn't have heard of understand the music that I listen to if you can't even understand the meaning of freaking slipknot songs....
Ah, and use of racist insults..great touch. Are you homophobic or something? Ah well, I guess its expected if I'm posting on a Linkin Park lyric's page :p
In conclusion, this song 'In The End' is for the trendy wannabe alternative crowd, and goddamnit I take my hat off for this young group who were described (earlier on ^^^^)as a cross between Limp Bizkit and the backstreet boys (?), which is hilarious :d

These guys don't even write their own stuff?? Fuck you if you think this is rock music."
wrong. theyre next video is gonna be a concert vid, supposedly.
and onemanwar... what about us (straight) guys that like em? do you think we like em because of their music? no. because their music rocks.
also... why do i doubt all of you know about linkin park? "oh, it sounds lighter than the music i listen to, so the band sucks!" chester (the lead singer, who, may i add, doesnt sound like a 12 year-old, went through a lot of shit in his teen years, had many friends commit suicide, had drug addicitions, and was abused multiple times. althoguh he doesnt do all of the writing (the band does, however, as a whole... not some crappy hired songwriters) he has had a great impact on the lyrics.
also, just a question; how the hell can you think that lp sounds like n*sync or backstreet boys? i mean, seriously, you have to be just plain stupid (or just want to sound [unsuccessfully, might i add] funny)
i personally dont care what other people think of them. i am a huge fan, will be, and have been for a long time. but, i mean, when people start saying lp is pop because the song is overplayed and its on trl (which is not lps fault, its the damn teenybopper fans), it just gets to the point when people gotta get hurt (heh, i knew i could fit in a lyrics somewhere in here)

i dont really understand.. could someone help me out please!! why is it that people say "i used to like them.. but then they became popular.. so that means that i hate them.." WHAT?!? what is that all about.. who cares that people like LP now..
what the hell.. im so pissed.. if anything.. the people talking that shit are the sellouts!!.. i mean if you are loyal fans to some group.. you really shouldnt give up on them like that.. and for NO reason at all..
so.. people are buying their records now.. that means what?? and if you dont like hearing their music on the radio and MTV so much.. stop listening to the popular stations and watching MTV then.. jesus.. ahhh
indeed.. what is this world coming too??
you are picking on the people for likeing LP bc other people do too.. well what about the other people that decided that they dont like them just bc you and all the other *cool* kids say its they arent cool anymore..? grr... sickining..
and yes i do listen to the *unpopular* underground indie stuff too.. and i do like that a lot. and i would honestly like it if someone would offer some of these bands a chance to "make it big" bc then i would be able hear them and see them more offten, and i wouldnt have to travel like 100 miles to see them perform live.. and i dont see that as a bad thing.. but for some reason you *cool* people do.. wow..
- a not so huge LP fan.. but a fan of the people sticking by what they believe..
YAY AND GO YOU!!
