You're hot, stop and drop and roll
I'll jump in the swimming hole
So I can hear your cheers
I've seen all the episodes
I know all the secret codes
So where I go I don't need roads
I'm flying over
Over

I'll fly right over
2P, you take my control
Teach me how to rock and roll
Or I'll fall down and die
I betcha don't know where to find (extra extra)
Our extra life times 99
I know you tried but still we died
Our game is over

Over
This love is over
Reset, can't reset the tears
So sad, princess isn't here
She's making out with all my fears

    General Comment:its about mario...

mario used to have a tv show so

    "ive seen all the episodes"

then its a dead give away with

"reset cant reset the years so sad princess isnt here shes hiding out with all my fears"

because in mario youre always trying to get the princess and shes always surrounded by things you fear...

General Comment:I know that what I say is probably already said in one way or another, but anyways...because we all like seeing our text online...

I've always felt from the timbre of this song that this is some sort of allusion to a relationship that has been tried too many times. "I've seen all the episodes" The singer and this woman have tried this over and over but they know the end result of anything they've done before. He also knows the "secret codes" which not only can be how we as people use words as keys to unlock ourselves, but how some relationships are obviously able to be unlocked by merely a certain phrase, but again, the end result is the aforementioned end of the "episode."

2P is an old video game reference to "2nd Player." I think that he's alluding to his former significant other, or perhaps a platonic friend who is attempting to get him back into the relationship. I'm leaning towards the second because of his phrase "teach me how to rock and roll."

The rest of it is fairly explanatory, I think. Regret, wants the relationship back but knows it's not capable of being so. I don't think even as he says "this love is over" he's trying to convince himself of it.

General Comment:a relationship over, no duh. i have the acoustic version that my cousin gave to me as a weezer song, it didn't sound like weezer to me so i googled the lyrics and found out it was really ozma(i had not heard of them before). i like this song a lot, wish i could hear the electric version, though.

General Comment:i realized one day that i actually do know how to find extra life times ninety-nine. which made me feel really bad.

in Super Mario 64: if you get all 120 stars, a cannon opens up in the front of Peach's castle by the water hole. Get the flying hat, run to the cannon, get in, and fly up to the top of the castle. Yoshi is waiting. He gives you 99 lives if you talk to him and then your ozma dreams are all fulfilled.

General Comment:i heard the same thing blahah said. but the "where we go, we don't need roads, i'm flying over...." part is from their obsession with back to the future where they say "roads? Where we go, we don't need roads."
