Take your head around the world
See what you get
From your mind
Write your soul down word for word
See who's your friend
Who is kind
It's almost like a disease
I know soon you will be

Over the lies, you'll be strong
You'll be rich in love and you will carry on
But no - oh no
No you won't be mine

Take your straight line for a curve
Make it stretch, the same old line
Try to find if it was worth what you spent
Why you're guilty for the way
You're feeling now
It's almost like being free
And I know soon you will be

Over the lies, you'll be strong
You'll be rich in love and you will carry on
But no - oh no
No you won't be mine

Take yourself out to the curb
Sit and wait
A fool for life
It's almost like a disease
I know soon you will be

Over the lies, you'll be strong
You'll be rich in love and you will carry on
But no - oh no
No you won't be mine

Song Meaning:For Rob this is about his cocaine addiction and him getting over it. But as he has said himself, it is what you want it to be.

    This line validates above:

"Take your straight line for a curve
Make it stretch, the same old line
Try to find if it was worth what you spent
Why you're guilty for the way
    You're feeling now
    It's almost like being free
And I know soon you will be"

General Comment:Its so deep but underneath shallow at the same time... Rob def knows how to capture a feeling.

I've felt this before where you feel so rejected/hurt that you want the other person to share the burden or feel the pain you feel was unjustly placed on you.

I love the haunting vibe... Possibly one of my top 10 fav's.

General Comment:Everytime I hear this song, I seem to find a new layer to it.
It's probably been said countless times [I can't be bothered reading] but...
I think its about a girl who is so... everything... and he knows it- but she's been lying, and obviously stuffed up her chance with him.
And he's saying that when she realises what she's been doing she's going to be "strong, rich, in love" and she'll carry on [perhaps saying that she could easily find someone else]
But at the same time, she won't be his.
And by the sounds of things, he was the most important thing.
    Now it's gone.

    Chilling. I love it.

    General Comment:THIS is ART.

Such a beautiful song, written and composed which such raw emotion.

I feel like everyone can interpret it in his\her own way. I relate to it in my own way, I've travelled a lot and left love behind more than once. And the feeling that tears you apart when you love someone and know that you can’t be with them, that the love you had will dissipate and she’ll love someone else, that she won’t be yours, that feeling is perfectly orchestrated and touches me every time I hear this song.

    Once again,

    THIS is ART.

General Comment:Obviously this song is about a relationship. But for some reason I never thought of it in that way exactly, I always viewed it as him talking to himself, about life and things he's done that will make it so that they can't be together. Like it's his fault. I really don't think that's what he was getting at, but anyway I guess that's just how I related to it. My favorite lyrics are:

Write your soul down word for word
See who's your friend, who is kind

Then try to find if it was worth what you spent
Why you're guilty for the way you're feeling now

General Comment:This is one of my favorite songs of all time. MB20 was the first real concert I ever went to and left me with a deep appreciation for live music. Everything about this song from the piano and orchestra to the lyrics and vocals are memorable.

I feel this song describes a man who was in love with a woman who had it all together outwardly. She had everything she could ever want and all the male attention imaginable. The two of them broke up for whatever reason (it seems like she left him to 'find herself'). His words are saying she'll easily find someone else who loves her but it won't compare to the love he gave to her and would have continued to.

General Comment:I have been in love with two men for over 25 years. one is 15 years younger than me.. I think of him when I hear this song.. that one day he will be over the lies we have told to have an affair and be in love with someone who is free and he will carry on but he wont be mine...
