Lyrics for Miss Me as interpreted by finchguy

Miss Me Lyrics
Everyone was talking about the minutes that you walked into that room
And how you made them listen to your bitchin and you're leavin me real soon
I dont' wanna hear you miss me miss me
I dont' wanna hear you talk about it
I don't wanna hear you miss me miss me
I don't wanna, you'll miss me now, that you've messed me up
You'll miss me miss me now, that you've messed me up
You'll miss me
thought we were so perfect never noticing the sucker I'd become
then I hear through your best friends that you're sick of me, I"m not the only one
Everyone said it's over tough, (2x)
but I was not listenin
till you called me up that night and told me that you had to say goodbye
I dont' wannna hear a word about you, the shit you're gonna work through
you're gonna find you're gonna find that you'll miss me . . .(into chorus)
I dont' know what you've got on me, I'll even it, just you wait and see, yea!
gonna get my way with you and then they'll see exactly who left who
prechorus, chorus

I really love this song. It's got this great beat and it's one of the best bitter songs ever

this song sounds oddly familiar.... kind of like Boys You Won't.
does anyone else feel that?

That's because this song *is* the original version of Boys, You Won't. Miss Me was recorded for a Drive-Thru sampler, and the band are not keen on this version of the song at all.

I also think it's rather horrendous, especially when you compare it with Boys, You Won't.

I actually almost like this song more, probably because I can relate to it more. Last year I had this sort of "break up" with all of my best friends that I'd been friends with since elementary school (I'm in highschool now.) I switched schools and we haven't said a word to each other since, and there are still a lot of unresolved issues there. Whenever I am feeling really angry at how my friend completely alienated me, I listen to this song because it really expresses the bitter rage that I feel while at the same time it also expresses the horrible sadness that I feel over the loss of my closest friends.

amanda had several piano teachers, and she let one seduce her when she was like a kid. this would explain the \"it servs you right, for kissing little girls\" part. sometimes kids people take advantage of have a reaction similar to stockholm syndrome, and develope odd feelings for thier tormentors.

this explains the entire song perfectly.

these lyrics are WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

the correct lyrics from their website are:

missed me missed me now you\'ve got to kiss me
if you kiss me mister i might tell my sister
if i tell her mister she might tell my mother and my
mother, mister, just might tell my father and my father
mister he won\'t be too happy and he\'ll have his lawyer
come up from the city and arrest you mister
so i wouldnt miss me if you get me, mister, see?

missed me missed me now you\'ve got to kiss me
if you kiss me mister you must think im pretty
if you think so mister you must want to fuck me
if you fuck me mister it must mean you love me
if you love me mister you would never leave me
it\'s as simple as can be!

missed me missed me now you\'ve got to kiss me
if you miss me mister why do you keep leaving
if you trick me mister i will make you suffer
and they\'ll get you mister put you in the slammer and forget
you mister then i think you\'ll miss me won\'t you miss me
won\'t you miss me

missed me missed me now you\'ve got to kiss me
if you kiss me mister take responsibility
i\'m fragile mister just like any girl would be
and so misunderstood (so treat me delicately!)

missed me missed me now you\'ve gone and done it
hope you\'re happy in the county penitentiary
it serves you right for kissing little girls but i will visit if you miss me
do you miss me? MISS ME??
how\'s the food they feed you??
do you miss me
will you kiss me through the window?
do you MISS ME? MISS ME??!!
will they ever let you go???
i miss my mister so!!!!

this was one of the first wrens songs i ever heard and i love it. i also really like the fact that there are two versions of this song. miss me and boys, you won't. instead of looking at it like an old version and a new version i look at it as like a transition. it's those types of things that tell you how a band is changing.

This WAS the first Wrens song I ever heard. I also managed to get what I now gather was a pre-release version of Meadowlands. Well, I finally heard the full release version of Meadowlands, and all of a sudden I'm kinda meh on the Wrens. They've pussified all their good stuff. They cut the balls off Miss Me and turned it into a pretty song. They added ghey harmonies to This Boy is Exhausted (one of the best tracks about being on tour I'd heard), Everyone Choose Sides, and Ex-Girl collection. Only a few songs remain unaltered.

Meh. They're still an okay band, and it's their music to do with as they see fit. But having heard the before and the after, I'm gonna stick with the before. Thankfully, Seacaucus is about to get re-released by their old label. I'll get to hear more from the Wrens I liked.

I think they took the very best parts of this when they made "Boys, You Won't." When you hear it again on the Meadowlands, it gives you a warm familiar feeling, but it is a more mature song.
