High up on you, you display good traits though few.
We've found time alone will tell.
This disease keeps holding me down.
Try to run when bear sleep.
To imagine us away.
He said come, fly around my he'll.
And know this, you seem to be
Too scared to run.
Wish I had your faults
Nothing seems to phase you
Lies, you're much more than just human.
I was high up on you til the shadows began to crawl.
Some say we can never know from just how far down this beast has come.
Too scared to run
So scared to run
Wish I had your faults
Nothing seems to phase you
Lies, you're much more than just human."

*Try to run when YOU sleep*
*Fly around my HELL*
*Nothing seems to FAZE you*
*I was high ABOVE you* (different the second time)
*Some say we can never know - just how far down* (No "from" there)
The last time he screams "so scared", he screams "to lie" after it instead of "to run".
And he says "Wish I had your faults" twice more at the end.
As far as the lyrical interpretation, it seems to obviously be about the devil, but that's as far as I got before it made no sense. The meaning doesn't matter as much to me because the music is awesome!
The song is sung from her position in reference to her ex-husband (boyfriend for others)
At first all seems normal and yet it becomes obvious that he is more evil than anything else.
The only escape is her sleep at night Try to run/When you're asleep/To imagine/This away
But the reality is his control over her and her fear makes it impossible to leave.
The chorus represents her torn feelings between her fear and her original emotions towards him.
Too scared to run/So scared to run/Wish I had your faults/Nothing seems to phase you/Lies, you're much more than just human
She wants to run and at the same time sees him as that great person she first met and promised the world.
The ending is non-specific just as an abused wife is. She may finally overcome her fear and run or he may succeed in totally destroying her.
Fortunately I helped my girlfriend escape the devil. :)
September 8th suddenly seem so far away.
