This song is about when you love a woman, you don't treat her like crap and call her bad names and do things to make her jealous. And as long as you love her she'll take care of you and love you back.

Never heard a line like that in any song.
And I'm not even the romantic type...but it is quite amazing that lyric.

I had a guy who I really loved say this to me once and it forever changed me.I never felt like that about anyone..and even thou we are not together nemore,that will always remain with me.

its a great song, and it quite relates to everyone...

what most people dont get is that love is not SEX!

its about two people understand and respecting each other, and bryan adams explains its so beautifully,

i know this girl for a long time now, who feels so overprotected,

i dont know but i just wish if i got a chance to understand her, tell her how much i love her :]........

This song is one of my favorites! Every lyric is absolutely true! Apparently Bryan Adams has loved a woman, to be able to write a song as true and beautiful as this.
Every lyric of this song is breathtaking but there are 2 in particular that give me the goosebumps:
"and when you can see your unborn children in her eyes"
And
"Then when you find yourself lyin' helpless in her arms".
Those 2 lyrics even get to my boyfriend, when we listen to the song together. Absolutely amazing.

bryan adams is singing about not just loving your woman but respecting her. he talks about 'this woman' as if she is the most precious thing in the world. this is how to treat a woman, bryan adams style. well done

This was the first song I danced with my now-ex-that-can-go-to-hell girlfriend. It was VERY special for both of us and I learned to play it on the guitar (not perfectly but I could sing it). Though it is really sweet, now when I listen to it, brings back sad memories that only builds the wish of shooting myself (and prolly her). Yes people, I loved this song and her deeply. Now, I only loved the song....but...ppfftt. whatever.

Man, I wish I could play guitar like this.

Anyways, I remember when this song actually came out back in 1995 I think... it was one of my favorite songs and only now do I understand what the hell it means. I know that I have loved a woman by this definition.

Interesting fact that this is the third in a trio of huge hits from Bryan Adams... you had "Everything I Do...", "All For Love", and this. Other than that, his 90's career wasn't too great.

I agree with everybody else's opinions on this one. It sums it up well and every guy should listen!!! I was down and out arguing w/my bf the other night and was out shopping. It came on in the dept store and all I could think was I had to get home and make my love listen! Beautiful song with real meaning.

This song is so romantic. I think I want this song to be played at my wedding. I get the chills when he says: "and when you can see your unborn children in her eyes, you know you really love a woman." That just makes my heart melt. Now if I could just get someone to sing this song for me..... ;)
