dont worry about trying to find this song, i finally got it from a friend's files and its not typical jm quality, if you want to find it i suggest going to a john mayer trading site

I like to think of this as the acid trip song, haha. Definitely the weirdest JM song ever, but now I like it. I'm not exactly sure what the point of it is, though.

When you hear old recordings of John back when he used to play at coffee houses he often says something like 'i only have time to play one more song for you because they're gonna kick us out at 9'
so I think this song is alluding to having to finish his set by 9

Actually, this was a song written by John when he was in High School and the reference to by Nine was his parents rule. His Band had to be out of the "BASEMENT" by nine. That is where the song comes from.
