That's quite the immature thing to say. So what if the songs about depression and wanting to die? It can definately be interpreted that way.
It's not really about depression or suicide or anything
it's about living a wasted life. It's about being someone who can't hope to achieve
it's simply about recognizing failure for what it is.

pretty much seems like it's more of the whole 'Well I'm pretty much fucked now' attitude. not self pity or any of that depression.
