  General Comment:All say it's about Stu leaving Jamiroquai after arguing with Jay...but still it sounds like he's singing about ex girlfriend!

    i guess this is because there's not much of a difference between a girlfriend and a band member. since the lyrics are ambiguous we will never know. but zender left the band while this specific album (synkronized) was being produced. and kay's reaction was to remove all of zender's appearances in the tracks and additionally writing "king for a day" which doesn't contain any bass. actually i hope this song is about zender. dedicating one of jamiroquai's best songs to zender shows kay's appreciation. the music video displays a drunk kay in a moldering mansion and company. there is no doubt the poetic persona is suffering from the grievous loss and so it has something to shout about.

  General Comment:Jay is actually a bit of a prick when he's not on stage. Stuart is incredibly underrated and a f'ing brilliant bass player.

  General Comment:The name of the bassist was Stuart Zender. Actually, Stu had the valid point. Jay did get all the credit when Travelling Without Moving was released and it was actually such a big hit because of the music and in a funk band, nobody has all the great ideas. So Stu left and fell off the map...and Jay has corrupted the sound....how sad.

  General Comment:It was his ex-band member, he was the bassist. He left the band and said JK was a slave driver and hardly gave the rest of the band any money/thanks etc. So it was kind of a jab at him, go JK I say.

  General Comment:I think he's singing about his ex-gf or just a friend of him, who was a kind of ...sheep more. well that kind of ppl who think they can be good and popular and stuff. But he knows that she'll find out what she did later, when it's too late. Anyway, he's still angry but he won't start revenge because "paybacktime" 'll come itselfs
