Three years and now I feel like completeness has set in
'cause it's something to keep time with time
and I know it's not true that I can't keep on like this
'cause I know I feel right and I don't think I miss a thing
and I remember when I heard that song sing,
"if the world doesn't understand then the world has to learn"
and maybe that's true but not everyone has to-
when ten million people all believe in the same thing how could they be wrong and what is sometimes?
There's a weight on my head and I know it feels right

General Comment:it feels a bit bizarre that most of the comments for this song are ancient. in a way, it feels like travelling thru time...but anyway, here goes.

sometimes i feel like this song is talking about chris doing something that simply isn't right, and deep inside its bugging him, or like a "weight on his head", because he knows its not right...yet it feels right and he does not want to let go of that feeling. i know im being sickly ambiguous... but i dont wanna be too specific. its like hooking up with ppl u shouldnt, or i dunno, like being on drugs but feeling all righteous about it. Im not saying chris is on drugs tho.
altho i like thedCo's take on it,

General Comment:the "if the world doesn't understand..." line is a thinly veiled wedding present reference. i think it's about taking the band full-time, and trying to prove the non-believers wrong.

General Comment:i was going to say it was about religion thinking i was smart after all these people thinking relationship songs are all STD writes. But Onlyalive4tonite got to it first.

"when ten million people all believe in the same thing how could they be wrong and what is sometimes?"

that line speaks loudest to my opinion on what this song means.

General Comment:I think it's about doubting religion. For three years he's not been at peace with his faith, but now something is starting to feel right about it. "When ten million people all believe in the same thing how could they be wrong?"
All these people believe this religion, so they must be right.

General Comment:i think this song is really cute. "when ten million people all believe in the same thing how could they be wrong?" it's easy to believe so many people because that is what you hear/what they tell you. it's all about thinking outside of the box and indivdually in some form or another.
