Lyrics for I Will Be There When You Die as interpreted by PLANES

I Will Be There When You Die Lyrics
joe was born in new york city, son of paul and catherine.
always down and always out, but his morrows always seemed jus' fine.
there will be bigotry and there will be open minds.
there will be days of peace you'll never have the time.
AS LONG AS YOU KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE,
i will be there when you die.
i was born in east kentucky, home of where the grass is dyed. always down
and always out, but my 'morrows always seemed just fine. there will be
bigotry and there will be open minds. there will be days of peace you'll
never have the time. as long as you keep a straight face,
i will be there when you die.

My friend died in January and this was a song that helped me get threw it. I live in Kentucky and i am a musician and my morning jacket is a big inspiration of mine. There words are genuine and are a lot more meaningful than a lot of these bands out here. No rediculous lyrics that we've heard in 1,000 "sad songs" , just a great talent for writing and interpreting.

^^^It's by My Morning Jacket. I originally got into them because this song was mislabeled on LimeWire as being by GY!BE.

two men who grew up separate from each other, but there is an indelible bond. new york city and kentucky are completely different from each other, and so are joe and the speaker. each person has the same outlook on life: somewhat depressed, but expectant of a better future. life goes on, no matter if your morrows are fine or not. these two friends are inseperable. this song always reminds me of "what sarah said" by death cab for cutie. if you like this song, go listen to that one.

i listen to this song about 17 times a day. ha. especially in the fall.

Describes a perfect expression of love without being cliche or contrived. It's songwriting like this why this band is one of the best.
