Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah

Hey Jude, don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah yeah

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you'll begin to make it
Better better better better better better, oh

Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude

General Comment:This is one of my favorites by the Beatles :D
I can't help but sing along every time I listen to it, even if I do suck at singing. That's how good it is.

General Comment:Jude = Julian Lennon, John's first son. At the time, Paul visited Cynthia when she was divorcing John. John was barely around to see Julian grow up, and his relationship was strained b/c of his own issues and Yoko. Paul wrote this song to Julian (originally titled Hey Jules) to make him feel better.

My Interpretation:For me, too, this song is about someone who is struggling to take the leap towards a girl whom he has found interest in. He is afraid to make that step to tell her: he loves her. He is fear of her rejection. He perhaps thinks too much and concern of facing her. He has too little confidence. This someone in fact is myself. Thus this song touches me in this way.

My Interpretation:To me it seems like Jude is someone who suffers from depression and anxiety, and lets these things get in the way of being with the person he loves. I think this song is trying to tell him that cutting things out of his life will not help him. Rather, the only way things can start to get better, is by letting this person into his heart (remember to let her into your heart / then you can start to make it better).
The song seems to me to serve as a general reminder to not let this person (Jude) dwell on their sadness (And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain / Don't carry the world upon your shoulders).
