Religion is a problem, yes. Its full of hierarchical bullshit, and dogma and all sorts of bullshit, but there is a distinct difference between faith and religion. There is nothing wrong with faith. For some of us, its the only thing keeping us going.
Now religious institutions are the least of everyone's problems. Unless the churches decide to hold some kind of fascist jesus uprising. but I digress. Go fight the banks, the corporations, the government, and other shit which wants to dominate your life.

the straightedge boys who huff gasoline are supposed to reference how hypocritical people can be, often religious people, who supposedly love their neighbors, but oppose gay marriage.
I mean, not everyone who listens to Leftover Crack is supposed to take it literally. I certainly don't go out and kill cops in my spare time, and I'm confused about my own religious beliefs. But I love listening to them sometimes because of how outrageous and outspoken they are.
Anyway, if everyone could just coexist wouldn't the world be so much happier?

Just because you research something doesn't mean your faith will dissolve. I am sick and tired of having to explain to ignorrant theists( not all theists are ignorrant) that atheists aren't worshipping satan, rebelling against god, evil, haven't researched the subjectetc. or whatever other assinine claim they can come up because they think that their way is so much more superior than ours. Believing or disbelieving in higher power is subject because science, which provide the evidence makes the question of god's existence insolube. Therefore it's a personel choice of how you percieve the evidence. Faith which is what a Christian and other religions are based on is defined as a belief which follows a REVELATION, which inherently is based on no evidence, only subjectivity. The atheist or most atheists are wedded to Reason and Science. Reason is defined as facts which can be demostrated logically. So someone has the personal choice of choosing the comfort of faith in religion or to follow empirical truth in Atheism which is based on observable evidence. It isn't objective, it's a subjective appeal to which you prefer
