Everyday, it's a gettin' closer,
Goin' faster than a roller coaster,
Love like yours will surely come my way, (hey, hey, hey)
Everyday, it's a gettin' faster,
Everyone says go ahead and ask her,
Love like yours will surely come my way, (hey, hey, hey)

Everyday seems a little longer,
Every way, love's a little stronger,
Come what may, do you ever long for
True love from me?

Everyday, it's a gettin' closer,
Goin' faster than a roller coaster,
Love like yours will surely come my way, (hey, hey, hey)

Everyday, it's a gettin' faster,
Everyone says go ahead and ask her,
Love like yours will surely c]ome my way, (hey, hey, hey)

Everyday seems a little longer,
Every way, love's a little stronger,
Come what may, do you ever long for
True love from me?

Everyday, it's a gettin' closer,
Goin' faster than a roller coaster,
Love like yours will surely come my way, (hey, hey, hey)
Love like yours will surely come my way.

General Comment:Great song, but thats already known. About 50s music, I think it will continue to influence mainly punk rock that tries to stay closer to the roots than this "screamo" stuff. I'm with ScottishMindset though, 50s music will remain pretty much unpopular except to those hardcore into music :)

General Comment:To jestersdead, I don't think 50's music will ever become mainstream again. Things tend to repeat themselves every 20 years (that's why flared-leg pants came back in the late 90s), but it's been so long & 50s music still isn't popular. I think new generations will keep being introduced to the music, but it'll never be super popular unfortunately :(

General Comment:This song is so simple but effective. It's basically like that weird time in between the acknowledgement of the attraction between two people and the officialization of the relationship. You're almost there, and it'll come your way, but there's just taht whole "having to get over that damn shyness" factor.

General Comment:Reminds me of Stand By Me too. Buddy Holly was great. Another mazing artist whose life was cut far too short.

General Comment:Yeah, I agree... 50s rock is sooo cool. As a fan of rock music, I love allll rock. everything from 50s music to glam rock to Metallica to Modest Mouse to the Clash to Led Zeppelin.

50s music just makes you feel good inside, you know? And I love this song. And I LOVE stand by me. That's my favorite movie EVER... and I think of this song when I think of the movie, and vice versa.

General Comment:50's shit will come back, where else can music go, its just gonna repeat itself. 50's shit does rock though, but black artists, even not so famous ones, wrote awsome rock n roll
