I feel in love with Bright Eyes, Cursive, and Desaparecidos seperately before ever realizing the connection between the three. Talent is obvious.

hmm... you've got to wonder if conor oberst is antisocial, what with his steady stream of bands and intense distate for not just corporate society, but society in general. maybe he was picked on for having such a high voice during his commander venus days.

I was under the impression that Leo wrote most of the lyrics for Desaparecidos. I could be wrong, but wasn't that the point of Conor creating Bright Eyes, so he didn't have to play with a set band? He calls most of the music he makes Bright Eyes music, right?

This song is beautiful, it really speaks out about how the media is controlling us and making us purchase things we will never need through clever advertising and propaganda. I love the Desaparecidos!

Um yeah...this song amazes me...wowww all of their songs. Speaks more about what is wrong with out society today and how most everyone thinks materalisitically about everything. This is why I like Desaparecios better than Bright Eyes. Though they are also amazing. I guess that makes Conor amazing. In the end ...everything is amazing? Hmm yeah. ok.

I don't think so, because Bright Eyes has been around since '95 but Desaparecidos didn't form until recently (Read Music Speak Spanish was released in '01, so they probably weren't around much before then)

Desaparecidos is just another example of the amazing versatility that Conor portrays. How one man...so talented and beautiful could accomplish all that he has and changed so many lives, myself included!!! ...is just hard to grasp. Complete genius!!!! All of the members of Desaspecidos are amazing and for those who appreciate it, it's like nothing else. I'm hoping for another album so much!!!

A new album is supposed to be released sometime this year, but it has been delayed...maybe because conor has been on tour a lot lately? Also, Bright Eyes was around BEFORE desaparecidos, so no, Conor did not give up Desa.. to only do Bright Eyes. Maybe that helps to clear a few things up..

This was first song by them that I had ever listened to. Very ingenius. Conor Oberst is amazing...his voice suits everything..from indie to punk!

i love & appreciate bright eyes, cursive & the faint among others sooo much more now.

conor said he just wanted to do something a bit more rock and about the external since all of bright eyes is about the internal.
something like that.
