The time is right
I'm gonna pack my bags
And take that journey down the road
'Cause over the mountain I see the bright sun shining
But I want to live inside the glow, yeah yeah

I want to go to a place where I am nothing and everything
That exists between here and nowhere
I want to got to a place where time has no consequence and oh yeah
The sky opens to my prayers

I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, mmm

Please understand that it's not that I don't care
But right know these walls are closing in on me
I love you more than I love life itself
But I need to find a place where I can breathe
I can breathe

I want to go to a place where I can hold the intangible
And let go of the pain with all my might

I wanna to go to a place where I'm suspended in ecstasy
Somewhere between dark and light
Where wrong becomes right

I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
I want to go to beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, ah

Beautiful

"I wanna go to place where I am nothing and everything That exists between here and nowhere"

Wow. I think that this song is really beautiful because its saying how she feels stuck in her repitious ways and she just needs something new to make her feel pretty again.

Suicidal tendencies in the lyrics,too....maybe she wants to find the reason for living in general, and escape to something more beautiful

"Please understand that it not that I don't care But right know these wall are closing in on me" This is SOOO me. if i could tatoo that on my head when im in my mellow mood i would! People who don't know me that well think im mad at them when actually i just need time to myself to think about things. Where i need to find a place to just be by myself for awhile. Love the CD in general!

This song has always given me a certain feeling that can't quite be described but it's just so amazing. I crave something new so much, just like India does in her lyrics. I've always listened to this when I've felt suffocated by my surroundings, just as she states in her own words.

"I wanna go to a place where I can hold the intangible, And let go of the pain with all my might"

I love those lines... how "beautiful" would it be if we could just let go of all of our pain? I love her lyrics.

actually, me being one of india's biggest fans haha... this song is really about Savannah, Georgia. Which should make make the lyrics easier to understand now.. but its just about her packing her things and starting over in the place which she considers most beautiful (savannah).. and i must say if you have ever been there.. it is definately one of the most beautiful places in the south in my opinion...

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
