Lyrics for Good Times Bad Times as interpreted by kevin

Good Times Bad Times Lyrics
In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man,
Now I've reached that age, I've tried to do all those things the best I can.
No matter how I try, I find my way into the same old jam.

*Good Times, Bad Times, you know I had my share;
When my woman left home for a brown eyed man,
Well, I still don't seem to care.

Sixteen, I fell in love with a girl as sweet as could be,
Only took a couple of days 'til she was rid of me.
She swore that she would be all mine and love me till the end,
But when I whispered in her ear, I lost another friend, oooh.

* Chorus

I know what it means to be alone, I sure do wish I was at home.
I don't care what the neighbors say, I'm gonna love you each and every day.
You can feel the beat within my heart.
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part.

this song is pretty straight forward as how the chorus tells it all. Its easy to relate to because we have all had good times and bad times. this is a great song, and page has an awsome guitar solo.

Who can't relate to those first few lines? Well, maybe a kid. Bonham and Page are both brilliant in this song. When Jimi Hendrix heard Bonham's drumming in this song, specifically the kick drum , he tried very hard to recruit him for his band.

The bass is amazing in this song, as are the drums. The guitar solo popping from no where makes tingling sensations in my pants. Obviously, Good Times Bad Times is self explanitory. When something bad goes down, get the led out and forget it.

Sounds like he's advising an attitude of patience, "well i still don't seem to care" meaning he doesn't let the bad times get to him.

Well put, Big Basser, well put. This was the first song on their first (as well as eponymous) album. It's one of my favorites by them, although I don't dislike any of their songs that I have (but I only have Houses of the Holy, Early Days: The Best of Led Zeppelin, and Latter Days: The Best of Led Zeppelin)

It's amazing that the first song on the first Zeppelin album is the same style they adapted throughout the seventies. An incredibly raunchy guitar riff, fast bass solos and Bonzo's rapid right foot the shows the bass drum no mercy. I think Zeppelin wanted their 1st song to be competely out of this world and they wanted to display all of their individual talents on their respected instruments.

This should be the most replied to lyrics of all Zeppelin, that if not Kashmir. This is one of their best songs.
