    General Comment:Thank you boognish_rising! I am so sick of everyone thinking every song Ween sings is about drugs! They have so many songs full of heart and soul when I hear someone reduce their songs to a drug trip I want to punch them in their fat heads!

    General Comment:To boognish rising and squeven..... I dunno if the song is about tripping or not.... but they do consume mushrooms in the video for it. Granted, they do look like typical button mushrooms, but they're in a zip-loc bag, they get passed around, and even smelled at one point. This all alludes to the idea of psychotropic mushrooms. This idea is also backed up (somewhat weakly) by Dean's difficulty in playing the bass at around 1m 13s into the video and (very strongly by) the strange faces he starts making around 1m 53s into the video. If you've ever been around someone who's tripping you will definitely recognize the looks on Dean's face.... that sort of universal disappointment/confusion that sometimes arises after too much thought while tripping.

    General Comment:Yeah, totally not about drugs. It's about some kind of relationship, seems serious. If Ween was bullshitting about Scotchguard (which he did say in an interview that they were), then why would they be telling the truth about nipples? The fact is, sometimes a song is not written like a narrative, and doesn't have to all fit together. Maybe the chorus is just an interesting turn of phrase.
    I always figured it meant telling someone to "die," as it is an imperative sentence (Push the lil' daisies.). But the rest of the song he seems like he still likes this girl.
    Could be nipples too.

    General Comment:All songs are open to interpretation, this is one of those ones I think you can enjoy without knowing the artist's meaning. The filmclip is -so- funny and I love that by the end of this song, his voice sounds like Cartman from South Park. xD

    General Comment:I have loved this song for many, many years! I too, hate it when everyone thinks that every lyric by Ween is somehow, someway involved with drugs. I'm not saying that some of them aren't, but you don't have to be "high" to write and play great songs, that's all. I'm a big fan of making Pot legal, so stick that in your ass and smoke it! ha ha!

    General Comment:I think your all wrong with the nipples and death interpretations... to the extent any ween song means anything, I think the pushing daises metaphor means life, and love, in this song. Daisies are a cheerful sunny picture. The song is about asking a girl to love him, make everything sunny and positive. That's why he's asking them to be pushed, he's trying to explain why they should be in love and it should be this sunny, dewey, meadow sort of picture.
