  Basically, This song sends a mixed signal.
  
  The words say one thing.
  
  The meter and tempo runs ahead in anticipation
  and says "Doubt and fear."
  
  Home and young again.
  These thing are not good to the writer.
  They bring up bad memories, by lyrical emphasis that home and whole culls mercilessness and young and fun are expressed with a cretin amount of regret.
  
  Fly me to the moon.
  
  The third stanza is the most honest. He longs to be free and clean. They are delivered freely and cleanly.
  
  Very complex song.
  
  It is an anthem riddled in self doubt and future fret.
  How ever long I stay
  What ever words I say.
  I will always love you.
  
  In other words.
  Don't trust me.
  
  But... trust me.
  
  Earnest and constant is YOU.
  Which gives a certain validity of his constancy to the subject of the song...who ever you is.
  
  Very poetic.
  and telling.

  General Comment:It's the ultimate existential relationship. That one person is always a part of your being, yet the impossibility of forever never breaks that bond. The fact she's on another continent, "no matter how far away," I will always love her. There's no possible way we'd be together, and still, it has been over a year and I have those feelings for her. It's not an everyday thing, but when I think of love, it always equates back to her.
  
  I think it's a memory of love, a true love. You don't need anything else. With her, you're whole. But the tragedy is the fact you can't be together. It's a theme that transitions right into Pictures of You.
  
  There's in impossibility of forever...
  It's a memory, the fact she makes him whole creates a void through the tone of the song.

  General Comment:This is such a beautiful song and probably my favourite Cure song they made.
  
  And it made me laugh when i found out it was a wedding gift for his wife as this is the song i am having at my wedding for our first dance!! <33

  General Comment:This was the first Cure song I ever heard!!!! It got me hooked and now i'm a massive fan. :) BTW People are right this was a wedding present and I think its one of the simplest love songs out there, but behind the simplicity there is a sort of darker, melencoly side to it, like how 2/3 or whatever of marridges end in divorced, so you never know how long your love for each other is going to last.

  General Comment:This probably has been said, but this song to me personally is saying no matter what, my heart is yours. Like even if a breakup happens, no matter what I say during an arguement, I love you and that doesn't change. Part of me will always love you. This is especially apparent in the chorus. That's just the way I interpret the song, and what it really means to me.
