It's funny how things work out
The ones we need don't know we're there
If I were sand and you were oceans
The moon would be why you're pulled to me

I wake up and think dreams are real
I sleep so I don't' have to feel
The truth that you can't ever be
The one person that won't ever forget me

I hope that dreams come when I die
So we can talk, I won't wake up
I'll ask you how your life worked out
I'll never know that I'm just dreaming

I wake up and think dreams are real
I sleep so I don't have to feel
The truth that you can't ever be
The one person that won't ever forget me
Let me sleep some more.

General Comment:Haha, funny how some idiot said they wouldn't have a full length cd some years back, now look at them. Great band, they are awesome live, much better than anticipated, though the leader singer is crazy short haha.
Awesome song, kind of reminds you of when you just get to thinking or dwelling on the past.

General Comment:put simply: this song is about liking/loving someone who doesn't like/love you back, and you'd rather see them/ be with them in your dreams cause at least your happy while your dreaming

General Comment:This song is great. It definitely is about loving someone when they don't really love you back/notice you and your dreams are the only thing that brings you closer to that person.

The whole reference with the oceans/moon is basically saying that the girl is not attracted to him just for attraction sake, it's some secondary force pushing her closer if there was anything there, i.e. the moon causing the tides to pull towards the sand

General Comment:I would think this song is about how he had a girlfriend and they loved eachother but seperated, and always and still have feelings for eachother as it says But you thought you could never be,
The one person that won't ever forget me,
they broke up and the girl always thought they would not have another chance, when the guy is in love with her still... he sleeps and gets away from the pain, that he has for loosing her..... thats how i see it... ;)vic=]

General Comment:This song seems to be about a guy who loves a girl, but she either doesnt love him back, or doesnt even acknowledge the fact that hes there. When he sleeps, he dreams of her, and in his dreams she loves him, and he never wants to wake up from that.

As for the sand and oceans thing, the way i see it is the moon is a romantic thing, and when two people look at the moon they hold eachother close? just like the tides, the moon pulls the oceans in and out, ie closer to the sand.

General Comment:Does anybody have an opinion on what Ben means when he sings 'If I were sand and you were oceans,
the moon would be why your pulled to me.'? I assume he is implying that the moon/night is the only thing that brings them together, as his dreams and sleep are at night. It is quite clever really. Any other thoughts?
