    My Interpretation:I think this song is about a boy is struggling to get his dad's approval. He feels as if his dad is disapointed in him. The chorus "'Cause we lost it all nothin' lasts forever I'm sorry I can't be perfect now it's just too late and we can't go back I'm sorry I can't be perfect." I think he is trying to say we lost our father-son relationship because it was never going to last. That it's too late to doing anything and there is no going back. Then when he sing " Did you know you used to be my hero? All the days you spent with me." He is saying that we use to be so close. We use to spend so much time togother but now it's gone. He is saying " Dad you used to be my hero and we use to spend so much time together now it's all down the drain." I think this is a great song because in all reality no will ever be perfect and no one can maintain a perfect relationship with anyone.

    General Comment:I get this song all to well...my younger sis graduated from a well-known school, and I graduated from a local community college...so like my dad ALWAYS compares me to my sister, and it gets to me since I am just as intelligent, but I didn't go to the same school my sis did...so he automatically thinks that I am not as smart.

    General Comment:The lyrics are self-explanatory. Not a dude; don't have brothers; and my son is young so I am not fully aware of father-son relationships and their problems. I can only imagine it is similar to a mother/daughter relationship which can be very intense. Any disapproval from a parent who we love is most discomforting, but like many situations the son may very well view his father's acceptance of him as suspect when the father is not as dissatisfied as it appears. Men are not the best communicators (generally speaking) so the truth between father and son may have yet to be realized.

    General Comment:I dont know what else my dad want from me. have i not be a good boy for him? all the verbal assault. i really miss the good family times. according to my dad i am the cause of family no being happy. i am the one with the problem.
