I Don't want to make this
Harder then I have to this
Is how it has to be. There's
So many things I want to say but
You just don't listen to me.

[Chorus]
I don't want to hurt you
You don't want to hurt me
I can't stand you and
You can't stand me.
We can't re-arrange we you can never
Change me, say good bye nothing I say
Can change you mind.
Because I can't stay tomorrow I'll
Be on my way. So don't expect to
Find me sleeping in my bed cause
When you wake up I won't be there I won't be there

Everything I say you find away to make it
Sound like I was born just yesterday.
And everything you thought me doesn't
Mean a thing so I am going my way.

[Chorus]

This is the last night that I spend
At home. And it won't take long
For you to notice won't take long for you find out that I am gone.

[Chorus: x2]

[Chorus: x3]
I won't be there

General Comment:haha ok just let me say simple plan sucks but my itunes was on shuffle and this song came on and it basically describes the recent end to my last relationship.

I never thought i'd find confort in a song by simple plan but hey theres a first time for everything.

Song Meaning:Oh this song is pretty good, it basically means

There's this teenager and he's sick of his parents controlling his life, he doesn't want to hurt them and he understands that they don't want to hurt them but he can't take it and just wants to get out of that house.

Every teen can pretty much relate to this!

General Comment:I think the whole idea of all of Simple Plan's songs is that they are pretty much just kids. It's good because you can relate to them. I mean, here in Australia (don't know where this sites from) the most popular songs are Perfect, about his dad, and Welcome to my Life, which is just about frustration.

General Comment:Yeah, I really think it's more about leaving home than a breakup. Parents are more likely to teach things...and the whole sound of the song seems more like a kid telling his parents off than a guy trying to breakup with his girlfriend....I think they would've said "sleeping in the bed" or "sleeping in our bed" instead of my bed if it were a breakup song.

General Comment:well this is an awesome song n i luv it
umm well i agree wif GCchic about how i thnk its not about a break up its about his parents..it could b either way bt sp's writing style is kinda umm obvious(no offence)..they go straight to the point they dont use metaphors or anything so thats why i thnk its about the parent issue..ok well luv this song

General Comment:me too GuyWithAPerm! except - i know better what things are able to cut off one's head and which aren't. See I used a Spork. Much more satisfactory! *passes out from blood loss from punctured jugular*
*wakes up in hospital* anyway, what this song is about is a really asinine way to break up in my opinion, you have to face them, talk about it, and THEN leave, otherwise it leaves tons of regrets. This song really presents that 6-year old songwriting aesthetic too. It's about as talented and original as, "You rhymed like a poet, and you didn't even know it." *passes out from the increased morphine drip, which they turned up so I wouldn't spout any more lame sayings or *shudder* simple plan quotes*

General Comment:This song is about trying to decapitate your own head via a butter knife isn't it? Well that's what it made me try to do anyways...
