Simple Plan – Meet You There

  My Interpretation:I agree with both sides. It could easily be taken as someone who died (I know you're never coming back), but I like to think of it as someone that moved away or maybe didn't move but left them as a friend.
  So I like to think of it as their best friend/girlfriend/wife/whatever moved or something and they don't talk anymore, and he is willing to do anything to get them back. Kind of like addicted (I'd run a thousand miles to get you). And that if he needs to, he'll wait forever just to be with them for another hour or even a few minutes to tell them anything he didn't before they left.
  It's kind of that way with me and my old friend right now. Don't know what I'm going to do about it. That's probably also why I interpret it the way I do.

  General Comment:this song means a lot to me. I had a best friend who I've loved for so long and I've always been content with just being in the "friend zone". Now that we're going for to colleges across the country, I regret not telling her how I feel, but I do believe we'll meet again.

  General Comment:I see the there as more of a relationship kind of thingy. This guy either gets with this girl or falls in love with her, but he he ends up stuck outside that relationship as a friend. And even though he still has feelings for her the feeling isn't mutual, this however doesn't stop him from believing he can "meet her there" as her lover.

  General Comment:this song always reminded me of my mom..she died 3 years ago, just as i got the cd..i was really depressed, and things at home weren't exactly happy, so..every song on the album has a beautiful meaning for me..it makes me feel better everytime =)

  General Comment:fucking amazing.
  and everyone who thinks this, or ANY of simple plan's songs are ONLY about a relationship, you're WRONG. it doesn't matter what song, they can ALL relate to different situations, with the exception for my alien.
  
  this song gives me hope, and it's the only thing that could console me when there's a death.

  General Comment:This song came on the night after I'd learned a kid in my school had killed himself. It reminded me of it so much, all my friends and I just sat there and cried. He was such a talented drummer! We all miss him so much. Especially one of my close friends, who had lived next to him forever, and they were best friends.

  General Comment:I don't really like Simple Plan much anymore, but this is the only song that really means something to me. Before my dad died, I never really payed much attention to it. I always thought it was about a girlfriend or whatever who left him. Well, a few days after my dad died, I was putting together some music and I was listening to my own and I listened to this song. After the first three lines, I paused it and I said to my brother, "This is perfect. I hope it keeps going right." And it did. It was the perfect song for what I was going to. Then a couple of days later, I played it for everyone during dinner, and for the first time, I cried to it.
  
  "No matter where life takes me to, I'll meet you there."

  General Comment:"Meet You There" is my favourite Simple Plan song. It reminds me when some of my friends left and started new chapters in their lives.
