  General Comment:I think that they both want more in the first part but don't dare to for some reason because in the second part it says 'nobody knows we love'. But now they can't be together because they are in relationships but wish they were free 'remember me the way I used to be'. I have experience something like this. So of course I see my story in it. I love this song. Songs like this make the pain sweeter.

  General Comment:I get the feeling that the first part is about two teenagers who understand each other very well. But one of them, the I in the song, wants more - "I wish I was yours".
  The other part of the song describes how they meet again after many years. The lines "Strangers / Nobody knows we love" tell us that the I hasn't forgotten the other part that he shared secrets with. The lines show that they share some kind of deep untitled love. The look that relives the memory is the look that first made the I fall "in love", but he can't respond to the other part as he did so many years ago, therefore he wants "her" to remember him as the "boy" he was. Otherwise she will feel disappointment. Maybe because he lost a part and changed into someone new when she disappeared. He got lost...
  My ex loves this song, and I met her eyes at a Cure concert. Beautiful and sometimes painful memories.
