Mostly this is about a long-distance relationship that was torn apart because they felt it would be good for the both of them. The guy wants her back because he believes he'll never find feelings for a girl like this one even if she's miles away, he would still do anything for her, so he would wait because he can't put her in the past. And even if it doesn't work he doesn't want to forget her.
But this song can be both ways but this song sticks out to me like that...
Anyway I think this song is about a girl that a guys really in love with and would do anything for her. He finds out shes leaving and he wants to show her how much she means to him but hes afraid that he wont be able to and he will never see her again.
