General Comment:I love this song and have listened to it millions of times, and to this day...it still sounds to me like they are saying "Big Bird in the City".
That makes for a very entertaining picture in my head.

The dirty version is humorous and sounds more like a parody than a remake. It makes me laugh a little, but you only really need to hear it once.

There is also a bossanova sounding version on Everybody Hertz, that I think is pretty good.

General Comment:I never knew about the explicit version until looking at this thread. That would add a level of ugh...something to the song. But its darn good either way.

General Comment:I also believe it is about the mechanic way we end up living in the big cities...I love this song, and it makes me think of the "Rermind" video from Royksopp

General Comment:I also loved this song when the album came out.

Too bad Jack Lahana came along on the "Everybody Hertz" EP and took this song to an untouchable level. I cant even listen to the original anymore without craving.... "smoking, drinking, smelling, kissing, spanking, touching, licking, sucking, f***ing, B**ches in the city"

It is a shame Jack Lahana has done nothing to support this masterpiece.

General Comment:I really recommend listening to the live versions, so much better when you can hear the instruments.

General Comment:I can't believe no one has posted anything on this song!! This is no doubt one of the best songs by Air. It's simple, really - just points out what people do in the city - but it does it with such class and candor that I can't help smiling every time I listen. I think it is a reference to the mechanics of the workings of a city - when it's taken on a grand scale, individual personalities lose face to math, structure and order (or chaos, maybe).

Or maybe it's just a stoner song. ;-) Either way, I love it.
