I'm an opportunity,
And I knock so softly.
Sometimes I get loud
When I wish everybody'd just get off me.
So many players you'd think I was a ball game.
It's every man for himself.
There are no teammates.

This life gets lonely
When everybody wants something.
They'll smile up in your face,
But they'll get theirs eventually,
And I hope I'm there.

Surrounded by familiar faces with no names.
None of them know me
Or want to share my pain.
They only wish to bask in my light
Then fade away.

To win my love,
To them a game,
To watch me live my life in vain.
When all is done
And the good fades away
They'll get theirs eventually,
And I hope I'm there.

I drank your poison,
Cause you told me it's wine.
Shame on you if you fooled me once.
Shame on me if you fooled me once.
Shame on me if you fooled me twice.
I didn't know the price.
You'll get yours eventually.

So what good am I to you
If I can't be broken.
You'll get yours, yes,
You'll get yours eventually.

General Comment:You heard the song. What is there to say??? All of P!NK's songs are so emotional, every single one comes straight from her heart and anyone, #1 fan or stranger, should be able to see that. Her lyrics and voice are so powerful, it's hard to ignore that she's just as human as the rest of us. Sometimes I forget she's a celebrity, because hearing her songs you know in your heart she's experienced every bit of them.

General Comment:This song is about how people will use and take advantage of you. And the thing is, no matter how hurt they see you, they just don't care.
She's saying that the people who do that sort of stuff are going to have karma come around and they'll get what they have coming to them.

General Comment:if you don't understand this song, obviously you can't relate. for those who can, it makes perfect sense. it's about how fake people are. so many people are only your friend because of what they can get out of you. but their phoniness will only hurt them in the end.

General Comment:To me, it's about how shallow people can be when it comes to getting what they want from someone.

I think that she's saying about how people try to get stuff from her, because she's famous, and they think that's all that matters. They don't see who she really is deep down, and they don't try to.

I think it's also kinda about how she can be in a room full of people, and feel completely alone. How she can be talking to someone and not know whither they really like her, or they're just pretending to, just because she's famous and they think that she owes them something.

    I guess it's just a thought...
