"Oh wow, man!"
"Wait a second man. Whaddaya think the teacher's gonna look like this year?"
"My butt, man!"
T-T-Teacher stop that screaming, teacher don't you see?
Don't want to be no uptown fool.
Maybe I should go to hell, but I'm doin' well,
Teacher needs to see me after school.

[Chorus]
I think of all the education that I missed.
But then my homework was never quite like this.
Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad,
I'm hot for teacher.
I got it bad, so bad,
I'm hot for teacher.

"Hey, I heard you missed us, we're back!"
"I brought my pencil"
"Gimme something to write on, man"
I heard about your lessons, but lessons are so cold.
I know about this school.
Little girl from cherry lane, how did you get so bold?
How did you know that golden rule?

[Chorus]

"Oh man, I think the clock is slow"
"I don't feel tardy"
"Class dismissed"

General Comment:By golly gee I think we have a winner with this song! Miss May has been selected! Do ya hear the bells and whistles. She will make the calendar! Fun song, although it should be illegal. Then again, who cares about immorality. We all just gotta be freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

General Comment:This song is just b%tchingly goooood, the guitar riffs are out of this world and the drumming noise sounds like a motorbike or something and just kicks a$$!

As for the musical video, you should check it our for sure youtube.com/…

    Bad ass!

Oddly the song never performed that well in the charts, though received massive air time on MTV. No surprise really! I think Van Halen are a bit hit and miss for my taste though this tune is well worth listening to again and again

General Comment:I think it's a song about a co-teacher...a co-worker who's not in town tonight because she's home with mommy and daddy over spring break. The poor baby leaves behind someone who wants to be coddled 'cause 'that ass' is not around for poking. F-off.

General Comment:It's a fantasy that the high school guys joke around about. Probably a normal every day event and nothing exceedingly twisted about it. The song is not meant to be about an actual incident of a teacher and high-school student having sex. I do agree with Pippin on what the "pencil" is meant to be, but it's just a boy's perverted joke or thought.

General Comment:trust me guys... you do NOT want a fine teacher. because then all you'll think about it fuckin them. instead of doing homework you're thinking about how to do them.

General Comment:This is one of my top twenty favorite songs. A bunch of guys stole my iPod on the bus the other day and found the music video on it and watched it. They then gave it back and then said "Can we enroll at that school?" To which I replied, "Yeah, I want Eddie Van Halen to teach me to play guitar!" And one of my best friends, who is a guy, said "You're missing the point to why they want to go." I replied, "Oh, I know exactly why they want to go. Phys. Ed. is pretty smexxi at that school." To which they burst out laughing.

General Comment:Great song, it seems that Diamond Dave always had a "whiskeyed" voice. The lyrics describe a teacher falling for a student and how the whole thing is kind of funny for him.

    General Comment:Wait...

I read somewhere that this song was actually inspired by one of the band member's high school teacher. Is this true? If so...was it David's, Eddie's, Alex's, or Michael's?

    Thanks :)
