Lyrics for Baby's in Black as interpreted by Ice

Baby's in Black Lyrics
Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh, what can I do?
She thinks of him and so she dresses in black
And though he'll never come back, she's dressed in black
Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh, what can I do?
I think of her, but she only thinks of him
And though it's only a whim, she thinks of him
Oh how long will it take
Until she sees the mistake she has made?
Dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black, and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh what can I do?
She thinks of him and she dresses in black
And though he'll never come back, she's dressed in black
Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh what can I do?

this song is about wanting to get a girl who is already taken, and treated like shit by her boyfriend, but she does'nt know that there are other people out there

I think this song is about a guy being in love with a girl who is still mourning her past love, and it hurts because the guy is hurting for the girl, and wants to be with her, even though she obviously still loves the guy who broke her heart before.

I think the girl is in black because somebody died, perhaps her boyfriend or brother or whatever, and the singer is lamenting this because he loves her, but hse won't notice him.

At first I thought the girl was satanic and "him" was Satan. But now I ag ree with Orion; it's someone mourning her old boyfriend, who died. Just a guess.

From what I've heard, this song is written about the Beatle's good friend Astrid Kirchher, after her boyfriend, and fifth Beatle, Stu Sutcliff died of a brain haemorrage.

I agree with Mind Gorilla's assessment. Astrid was a photographer at the time I believe...and she was blonde. I have no doubt that John was attracted to her.

I don't think that it was written for anyone in specific really, but then again I don't really believe they took from their own lives unless they say so... Dear Prudence is about Prudence Farrow, Julia is about John's mother and Yoko, Hey Jude is about Julian, etc. They told us those were about people in their lives...

I don't want to hear this song at night because I'm a scaredy cat! Thanks to Stephen King's book, Everything's Eventual. And the story Man In The Black Suit. :)

Thankfully, I can do my duty as a Beatle fan to listen to this song on mornings. Haha.

I kind of hope this wasn't written about Astrid Kircher. That wouldn't be very sensitive considering they were friends with Stuart Sutcliffe. I feel like they wouldn't be so blunt towards someone they were close to. I don't know, that's just what I think.

i think that the girl wont let go of her old boyfriend because he died and so another guy is sad about that or something

well, cynthia lennon went through a phase where she wore all black all the time.. cuz that was in style. and a lot of songs were actually about cynthia. so that could have some meaning in the song.

this song clearly states the desire of a man to a girl who's man died. (she thinks of him and so she dresses in black ) states it perfectly, the girl loved and thought about her ex, that's why she was wearing black.

i was listening to this song while high and got real offended because I thought it was about a girl who left a dude for a black dude and now he's all jealous and mad...I really hope thats not what its about

This song wasn't about Astrid Kircher. Nor what it about a woman mourning her former lover. However, the dead man was related to her....
