The name is a play on the line "I've crossed oceans of time to find you" from Bram Stoker's Dracular, but then, you already knew that, im sure.

Amazing track, Definately one of my fave HIM tracks. As for the smilliarity to "Resurrection", I think that "I've Crossed Oceans Of Wine..." is actually just a demo that ended up turning into "Resurrection" over time.

Codfather is correct, "Oceans Of Wine" was the origional version of "Resurrection". I love both versions. In the end of this song, one of the last lines Ville sings (We're Christ like, So lifelike, Vampire Christ) just rips your heart out... Anyways, great HIM song!

bloody gorgeous song, much like most of their demos.. almost better than what they evolve into... but at least this way we get both versions... we win in the end

Wow, it's a nice song. I only was getting sick when I repeated it too much. You get that spinning-effect .. it makes me dizzy. BUT I got used to it, and now I love it!!

Hey people guess what Ville was on the radio on KROQ and i got to talk to him and im not bullshitting you guys. It was awsome. So yeah i used that time i spoke to him to ask him what this song meant. All he told me was that it came from bram strokers dracula and that he just added Wine instead of time when he says ive crossed oceans of wine to get to you. Fucking awsome i still cant believe i talked to him.

For me, this is the greatest HIM song. The song gives me the image of them playing this in a little bar in Finland and no one seems to notice they're playing. This song is beyond genius.

Valo was actually asked to write this song for a vampire movie. That is why it was released on a single instead of an actual album.

I believe he was also asked to play the lead but turned it down. He has no desire to act, and never plans to.

^ I didn't know that. Nice, for me it fits in perfectly with the idea of a vampire B movie (that being a good thing here). Also, I'm not that interested in the meaning, I like the atmosphere and "feel" of the song more, and how it's a pre-vitro version of Resurrection. And the Turbonegro tribute keyboards, it's all great FUN to me when I think of the guys and their sarcastic ways. They've never taken themselves that seriously and it shines through here.

Bram Stokers Dracula is a fabulous movie, and this song title is based off of a line in that movie. If I could do anything before I die, it would be to play Mina in a version of the movie where Ville plays Dracula, though I know he has no desire to act. He's gorgeoussss. lol.

the entire song can be connected to bram stoker's dracula. to me it feels like it's been written from count dracula's point of view. as in "and with those once cold finger tips you bought me back to life" where I think he means that when he finds mina who is a "resurrected" elizabeth he feels just this. but at the same time he knows that this can not be since he is undead and wants to die more than anything. in the end he gets just this when mina decides to give herself to him due to "and soon we'll sleep and never wake up again".
