Lyrics for Baby It's You (Shirelles cover) as interpreted by Ice

Baby It's You (Shirelles cover) Lyrics
Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la
It's not the way you smile that touched my heart
(Sha la la la la)
It's not the way you kiss that tears me apart
Uh, oh, many, many, many nights go by
I sit alone at home and I cry over you
What can I do?
Can't help myself, because baby, it's you
Baby, it's you
You should hear what they say about you
"Cheat, cheat"
They say, they say you never, never, never ever heard of being true
(Cheat, cheat)
Uh oh
It doesn't matter what they say
I know I'm going to love you any old way
What can I do, and it's true
Don't want nobody, nobody, because baby, it's you
(Sha la la la la la la)
Baby, it's you
(Sha la la la la la la)
Uh oh
It doesn't matter what they say
I know I'm going to love you any old way
What can I do, when it's true
Don't want nobody, nobody, because baby, it's you
(Sha la la la la la la)
Baby, it's you
(Sha la la la la la la)
Don't leave me all alone

Is this composed by Bob Dylan? This song is nice, anyway!

I don't think it was composed by Bob Dylan, although it appears to be composed by Bacharach/David/Williams. It was originally a Shirelles song.

Here's another fine example of John rocking out. What I like most about these early recordings is the lack of overdubbing and we get to listen to a perfect vocal from John recorded in a live environment in Studio #2. Awesome Tune!

If you want to hear some great vocals by John, then listen to the Live at the BBC version of this song. I'm not a big fan of this song, but once John began to sing there was no way I could skip it. I really do think he had one of the best voices in rock that we'll ever hear.
