I come to your door to see you again,
But where you once stood was an old man instead
I asked where you'd be, he said 'she's moved, on you see
All I have is a number you'd better ask her not me'
So I picked up the phone and dialled your number
Not sure to put it down or speak
Then I voice I once knew answered in a sweet voice
She said hello then paused before I began to speak

Babe I'm here again, I tell you I'm here again
Where have you been?
Babe, I'm back again, I tell you I'm back again
Where have you been?

You held your voice well, there were tears I could tell
But where were you now? Was you gonna tell me in time?
Just give me a town and I'll be straight down
Got so much to tell you about where I have been
As I walk down your road, can't wait to be near you
Can't keep the feeling in inside
As I stand at your door you answered in a sweet voice
You said hello then pause before I begin to speak

Babe I'm here again, I tell you I'm here again
Where have you been?
Babe, I'm back again, I tell you I'm back again
Where have you been?

Just as I looked away, I saw a face behind you
A little boy stood at your door
And as I looked again I saw his face was shining
He had my eyes, he had my smile

Babe I'm here again, I tell you I'm here again
Where have you been?
Babe, I'm back again, I tell you I'm back again
Where have you been?

My Opinion:Gorgeous song...It came out in 1994...But today everyone still knows the words 17 yrs later...It's incredible at their concerts to see the audience singing this note for note in unison...They still know the words after all this time...TT will leave behind a fantastic catalog of songs, and a well deserved legacy of being one of many greats in pop music history...Gaz is a fantastic songwriter/composer, and their harmonies are incredible...The "I" and "Babe" bit wow <33

General Comment:this is the most amazing song when you're hearing it live, in a sold-out stadium, with thousands of people equally as in awe as you are.

the best experience of my life.

General Comment:I don't particularly like pop music, but this song will always make it onto my top ten list, even my top five actually. It such a beautiful song, with a beautiful story. People do not give Gary Barlow enough credit. He's such an amazing songwriter, one of the most talented of the last 25 years. And this is coming from a rock chick! Take That certainly were THE boyband of the nineties, and definately one of the best ever.

(But I preferred them without that twat Robbie!)

General Comment:IT IS ABOUT A REUNION OF 2 LOVERS, WHO FOR SOME REASON WERE TORN APART, AND SEPERATED. AND THEN PERHAPS HE REALIZED THAT THEY SHOULD UNITE AGAIN - AND LIFE BRIGS HIM HOME, NOT TO HIS LOVER, BUT TO A "FAMILY" - HIS FAMILY, HIS SON, AND THE MOTHER OF HIS SON... VERY BEAUTIFUL LYRICS...
