For I have got another girl, another girl
You're making me say that I've got nobody but you
But as from today well I've got somebody that's new
I ain't no fool and I don't take what I don't want

For I have got another girl, another girl
She's sweeter than all the girls and I've met quite a few
Nobody in all the world can do what she can do
And so I'm telling you this time you'd better stop

For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me till the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend

I don't want to say that I've been unhappy with you
But as from today, well I've seen somebody that's new
I ain't no fool and I don't take what I don't want

For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me till the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend

For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me till the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend
For I have got another girl

General Comment:I really dislike the lyrics. Being sung by Beatles doesn't mean a song would be naturally granted every right. The sheer disrespect and lack of very basic empathy for others is really disgusting, to be frank.

My Opinion:This song reminds me of a girl (who we'll call... "Coco"), who I'm not close friends with, but know about her past relationships from my other friends who know her: Back around freshman or sophomore year, she started flirting with a guy who was already in a relationship, and eventually, he dumped his girlfriend for her -- this made the best friend of his ex-girlfriend very angry, and she has never spoken to him - she now calls him a "douchebag" whenever mentioning him - or Coco again. Coco is still friends with the guy and his ex-, though. Then, she dated another boy who I know, but I don't know much about how their relationship went. And then, she dated another boy who I know, this time who was a senior while she was a junior. From what I heard, the reason they broke up was because Coco wanted an open relationship, and the senior boy didn't know he could handle it. And when prom was upcoming, he asked her to the prom, which she declined; but when another guy friend asked her to the prom, she said yes -- and I've seen pictures of those two on FaceBook... holding hands & shit (Yeah, I felt left out since many juniors went to the prom last year, but that's a different story). Remember earlier when I mentioned that the best friend of the 1st guy's ex-girlfriend was very angry about what happened? Yeah, she once called Coco "the ruiner of all relationships." Coco now goes out with a 27-year-old man (which is a semi-secret). Oh, and as for the song, the music also seems to fit her enthusiastic personality.

My Opinion:The upbeat nature of this song hides the fact that it's a pretty cruel song and Paul is pulling no punches by telling Jane Asher he is moving on to someone new. "You're making me say that I've somebody that's new". It is now common knowledge that Paul had least two other serious girlfriend's in 1965 while Jane was away on acting jobs. But of course this wasn't the end of Paul and Jane's relationship instead it inspired much of his songwriting on both "Rubber Soul" and "Revolver".

General Comment:This song is hilarious. Reminds me of the saying about thou protesting too much:) Also sounds like its being sung by a child, not a man. Don't ya just love men who settle for second best and don't have the balls to seek what/who they really want ;) LOL...they get what they deserve....2nd best always and lots of regret. Really pathetic way to live, don't ya think...

General Comment:I like how Paul used a model as his Hofner in the movie "Help" where they played this song in the freezing cold.... John on keyboards...This song WAS about Jane Asher who wasn't afraid to argue with Paul at all. It's funny how nobody really put 2 and 2 together in the days Paul was writing songs like this...re: I'm looking through you.

General Comment:Yeah, I've never read about that anywhere either... a lot of Beatles songs didn't actualy reflect their own personal lives... there are a few that do, like Hey Jude, Julia, etc., but we usually know that because they told us in interviews.
