What is it?
Who is it?
Where is it?

[Chorus:]
A rabbit falls away from me, I guess I'll crawl
A rabbit always smashes me, again I'll crawl
Tried to think what's over me, it makes me crawl
Then she runs away from me, faster than I crawl

I stopped to call, tried to feel it all
Stuck my hand and pulled real hard
Got stretch in miles, not in yards
Then I read, about all those who believe all of your lies
Sunlight brings the rage right in your eyes

[Chorus: x2]

General Comment:When J introduces this song live, he pronounces the title as "Little Furry Things", as opposed to Fury.

My Interpretation:I've been finding stuff that says the same: Lou Barlow said it was 'grab it' not 'rabbit'...

w/all due respect sure it means something, but if you look to much into the meaning you take out the fun of music and make it into an English class paper... that's how I see it, anyway. Great song, but who will ever know what it truly means?

General Comment:I think its about the book of mice and men. Lennie tries to be good but always screws up. plus how he is so obsessed with raising the rabbets on their farm. maybe its about the american dream

General Comment:Actually guys, Lou Barlow, Dinosaur's bassist, told us that there are "No rabbits" in this song. The correct line's are "I grab, it falls..." every time.

General Comment:with all respect, lovecalder, I have to disagree with you. If a song is written merely to stimulate the listener's indulgences what's the point of writing it? If Joseph Conrad wrote heart of darkness for everyone to interpret their own meaning, then it accomplished nothing. What is the point of creation if not to communicate on a level higher than speech alone, if what is being communicated is relative than there is no communication thus it nothing but a waste of time. At least that's how I see it.

General Comment:I think this song is about whatever the fuck you want it to be, I hate it when people try to read too far into these things...YOU'RE ALL RIGHT IN WHAT YOU SAY, AND I LOVE YOU ALL.

HammerParty, I totally know what you mean. Listen to "Shine on Sweet Jesus" by the Flaming Lips. NOISE=BEAUTIFUL.

General Comment:I think it might be an Alice and Wonderland reference. A rabbit appears, he has to crawl ( as in underground) to reach it, he gets stretched out (turns big like Alice). The rabbit is symbolic of some unattainable prize he's pursuing, bu he t doesn;t knwo why he's pursuing it. (What is it? Who is It? Where Is it?) Just like Alice follows the rabbit because it's a sign of familiarity, this guy keeps following it even though he's aware that it's an illusion "all those who believe your eyes."
I might be completely wrong though. Probably am.

General Comment:agree, all Dinosaur songs can be interpretted in many ways but they always tend to end up meaning something that's affects you
