I'm lyin' here on the floor where you left me
I think I took too much
I'm crying here, what have you done?
I thought it would be fun

I can't stay on your life support, there's a shortage in the switch,
I can't stay on your morphine, cuz it's making me itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again but she's being a little bitch,
I think I'll get outta here, where I can

[Chorus]
Run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you're just like a pill
'Stead of makin' me better, you keep makin' me ill
You keep makin' me ill

I haven't moved from the spot where you left me
This must be a bad trip
All of the other pills, they were different
Maybe I should get some help

I can't stay on your life support, there's a shortage in the switch,
I can't stay on your morphine, cuz it's making me itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again but she's being a little bitch,
I think I'll get outta here, where I can

[Chorus: x2]

I can't stay on your life support, there's a shortage in the switch,
I can't stay on your morphine, cuz it's making me itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again but she's being a little bitch,
I think I'll get outta here, where I can

[Chorus]

General Comment:I think this song is comparing her problems (no matter what it is) to the feeling of being sick. The first clue I get is because it says "I think I'll run as fast as I can to the middle of nowhere" meaning she can runaway from what is making her sad, but it won't get her anywhere. Just like if she is tied to the machine, she can run, but it won't make her any better.
"I'm lying here on the floor where you left me" can be taken literally or figuratively...it can mean she's still in the same state of mind when it, whatever "it" is, happened. "I can't stay on your life support, there's a shortage in the switch" can mean she doesn't wanna stay on the life support because then she'd be too dependent and it can suddenly stop working on her whenever it wants to. I think the morphine "making me itch" is just her expressing how fed up and anxious she is getting. And the "nurse" meaning whoever is there that is supposed to help her, really isn't, and is focusing on their other problems or friends or something. And the person is "like a pill" because the pill is supposed to make you better, but if it really was supposed to make you better for good, you wouldn't have to keep on taking it. And she doesn't want to keep on dealing with this person. She wants it to be gone and over and better. So they're not making her better.

My Interpretation:It's hard to explain, but I'll try my best :/
You know how you have a box of pills on the shelf behind the counter? And it looks good, but it could be out of date and false labelled? Well, I think she's trying to compare herself to wanting this guy who looks good from a distance, and when she finally gets a taste of him, she wants to get away from him & his dramas. And I also think, in the part: "I said I tried to call the nurse again but shes
being a little bitch" -- I think that part is about her friends telling her he's no good for her, but she never believed them. And now that she realises that she's made a mistake, her friends have turned against her. If you believe this is the right interpretation, please reply or rate up :D

My Opinion:Run just as fast as I can
    To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you're just like a pill
Instead of makin' me better, you keep makin' me ill
    You keep makin' me ill

    It's such a great text =)

I used it before some months cause that's what he was for me, a pill who kept makin me ill! I found a better pill ;)

General Comment:To me, this song is about running away from love, for any number of reasons. She could feel restricted and chained by it, she could feel unworthy of it and it could weigh on her self esteem. So she gets into a relationship b/c she thinks it'll make her feel better, and instead she feels like shit. So she's like "Alright no screw this. This is just not working out."

    General Comment:I was thinking ...
this may be wrong but could the pill be referring to an eating disorder?
And she is trying to escape it but its addictive :/ ?
And instead of this making her better its making her ill ?
and all it is doing is making her ill and she needs help and she can't keep trying to run / ox

Song Meaning:Well yea, she is referring a guy to a pill...not just any pill...but an opiate..
Because if you take any narcotic pain killers that has opiates for awhile such as Oxycontin, Vicodin, Percocet, your body becomes used to it and then when you quit..you get very very sick..other word for it is withdrawal.
I was addicted to them for a year after a car accident...and going through all that kinda does compare to a relationship with a guy. haha.

P!nk is saying that her boyfriend just broke up with her.

"I think I took too much"

She's comparing him to a drug and saying he's addicting.

"Run just as fast as I can
    To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears"

She wants to run away from all the hurt she's been feeling.

General Comment:she IS comparing acid to her boyfriend... how he was amazing at first but now he's a nightmare... you can have good and bad trips. good trips are when you see good things (her loving boyfriend) but now she's in a bad trip (he's cold and turning into a nightmare) he's in charge of how the drug works... the one who can give and lace it.

she does however say that she's laying in the spot where he left her... so maybe she really is on something too and he abandoned her...

we don't know if she's seeing herself physically in the middle of no where or just helpless. it's probably both :)
