Crying loud you are crawling on the floor-just a beautiful baby. Your nothing more. Close your eyes your crawling into sleep. I sware i won.t break you if you let me take you where the willows never weep. Coming quick into your wonderland Flying high on bleached white sand. Tranquilized by lights you.ll lose your way-well just come with me i.ll make you see....with me you want to stay.
....can baby come out to play?
Circus lights are shutting slowly down. But still your up in the air and loving your wings. My dear you play the clown. Your still up in the air and loving your wings. what's going to happen when you come down? what's gonna happen when you come crashing down?

My Interpretation:Sounds like someone has become dependent on cocaine, as you can tell from the lines "you're nothing more/close your eyes, you are crawling into sleep/I swear I won't break you...", "can baby come out and play" and the most obvious line, "what's gonna happen when you come down?"..

General Comment:When I first heard this song, I took the lyrics really literally, so it was just almost describing a dream with this clown in it, (well, probably a nightmare). I love it anyway, it's nice and scary (:
After reading waht other people have said though i can see how it could be about drug use, or child abuse, and it could alos be interpretted as being manic depression, almost...feeling really high one moment as if nothing can touch you, but whats going to happen when you fall back down?

General Comment:I agree. I hate when people come on this site and go 'I love this song! I don't have a damn clue what it means but it's good!' How can you think it's good if you don't even know what the hell it's about?

General Comment:I'm kinda torn with this song, allot of it does sound like child abuse...
    CRYING LOUD
    YOU'RE CRAWLING ON THE FLOOR
    JUST A BEAUTIFUL BABY,
[a child or a baby being abused]
    YOU'RE NOTHING MORE
    [degrading]
    CLOSE YOUR EYES,
    YOU'RE CRAWLING INTO SLEEP
[possible use of drugs to sedate the victim]
    I SWEAR I WON'T BREAK YOU
[won't kill or maybe even break the hymen]
IF YOU LET ME TAKE YOU

the second and third verse throw me off

    COMING QUICK INTO YOUR WONDERLAND
    [ coming= ejaculating]
FLYING HIGH ON BLEACHED WHITE SAND
    [semen? or cocaine?]
    TRANQUILIZED BY LIGHTS
    YOU LOSE YOUR WAY
    [almost definite drug references]
    WELL JUST COME WITH ME
    AND I'LL MAKE YOU SEE
WITH ME YOU'LL WANT TO STAY
CAN BABY COME OUT TO PLAY
    [more connotations of child abuse]

CIRCUS LIGHTS ARE SHUTTING SLOWLY DOWN
    [reality is coming back]
BUT STILL YOU'RE UP IN THE AIR,
    AND LOVING YOUR WINGS
[is still revelling in the attention and wants to do more drugs]
MY DEAR YOU PLAY THE CLOWN
    [mocking]
YOU'RE STILL UP IN THE AIR
    AND LOVING YOUR WINGS
WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN WHEN YOU COME DOWN
[watch out because the high of drugs wont last forever...]

either way its an awesome song, i like songs that make me think...whereas some people just listen to the music and not whats behind it. its really fascinating.

General Comment:When I first heard this song, I took it as a song about child abuse, honestly. Read the lyrics from that perspective. I can definately see it as a song about someone dealing with someone close who is a cocaine user, though. Switchblade Symphony were an amazing band that put out such poetic lyrics.

General Comment:Like many people have said, this is a precautionary tale about Cocaine use. The "bleached white sand" and the the flying imagery. Wonderful song, love Switchblade.

General Comment:I personally talked to Tina and asked her what inspired this song and what its about and she said the clown shes singing to in the song is an exboyfriend who, lets just say wasnt very stable (which im pretty sure means he was on drugs)

General Comment:It does indeed sound like it's about cocaine use. I don't know why, but this song goes damn well with the carousel fight in Silent Hill 3. Spooky shit :P Not in the sense that it matches up, but it matches the mood well.

General Comment:I love this song. But it seriously freaks me out. I think it may be the scariest song I've ever heard. . .But it's very awesome. My best friend showed it to me after she watched "Wicked." Apparently, it's in there.
