I can give a hundred million reasons
To build a barricade
I blame it on the changing of the seasons
The thoughts that I've conveyed

Does it make it all right?
It doesn't make it all right

To roll it over my soul and leave me here
Roll it over my soul and leave me here

Look around at all the plastic people
Who live without a care
Try to sit with me around my table
But never bring a chair

And in your head do you feel
What you're not supposed to feel
You take what you want
But you won't get it for free
You need more time
'cause your thoughts and words won't last forever more
But I'm not sure if it ever works out right
But it's ok. It's all right

And in your head do you feel
What you're not supposed to feel
When you take what you want
You don't get hope for free
You need more time
'cause your thoughts and words won't last forever more
And I'm not sure if it'll ever, ever, ever work out right
Will it ever, ever, ever work out right?
'cause it never, never, never works out right

General Comment:Anybody heard the demo version found on various bootlegs? Noel on vocals makes this even better, I think. But either way it's definitely one of the most underrated Oasis songs.

General Comment:This song is just brilliant. The lyrics are untouchable. Noel gallagher writes real music, music that people can really relate to. God bless oasis.

General Comment:The riff in the middle is from "Come Together"
This song has some great lyrics, for example:
"Look around at all the plastic people
    who live without a care
Try to sit with me around my table
    but never bring a chair"

General Comment:I'm surprised there's not a lot of comments on this song. I think it's the best song on this CD and it may be one of my favorite Oasis songs! For whatever reason, it reminds me a lot of Pink Floyd, at least the Pink Floyd post Roger Waters.

Beautiful way to end the CD.

General Comment:i think the song is talking about changes in people and yes, about gossip and problems like such...

"Maybe that's what this song is about -- you, the fuckers, who don't appreciate this kind of music." That could be it, and I believe Standing on the Should of Giants should have gotten better reviews.
