Underneath the sky of red
Is a storyteller sleeping alone
He has no face and he has no name
And his whereabouts are sort of unknown

All he needs is his life in a suitcase
It belongs to a friend of a friend's
And as we drink to ourselves
We'll amuse ourselves
Underneath the sky
Underneath the sky again
Underneath the sky again

So wish me away to an unknown place
Am I living in a land with no name
I'll be making a start with my brand new heart
Stop me making sense once again

All we need is our lives in a suitcase
They belong to a friend of a friend's
And as we drink to ourselves
We'll amuse ourselves
Underneath the sky
Underneath the sky again
Underneath the sky again

All we need is our lives in a suitcase
They belong to a friend of a friend's
And as we drink to ourselves
We'll amuse ourselves
Underneath the sky
Underneath the sky again
Underneath the sky again
Underneath the sky again
Underneath the sky again
Underneath the sky again
Again again again again
Underneath the sky again

General Comment:This song is awesome. Regardless of what the lyrics say in the booklet for the Masterplan the 3rd line down in the first verse should read "he has no faith and he has no name" it's not face. This can be clearly heard in Noel's acoustic version found anywhere on(youtube)line.

General Comment:I also like Noel's acoustic version of this song. Both versions are great. The Masterplan is such an awesome album I listened to it the whole way through last night and just remembered how good it was.

General Comment:i think the song is mainly written to themselves as brothers and as a band. I love how it it starts off as "all he needs is his life in a suitcase" but toward the end switches to"all we need is our lives in a suitcase. "they belong to a friend of a friend" hints that they're on the road so much they have nothing to call their own. "and as we drink to ourselves we'll amuse ourselves", all they have is eachother. "underneath the sky again" is an ode to the road... rhyme not intended hehe

General Comment:Can it mean getting your life back on track again or helping a friend getting their life back on track?

General Comment:This song has such a wonderful sound to it, the guitar is immense, Whiteys drumming is at its peak and Liams voice is just so.. perfect. The only song i can think of to end the way it does, with the Gallagher growl at the top of its game. Simply superb and yet another Oasis b-side that just beats everything in the charts.

General Comment:This song is so good, its music is so uplifting, along with Liam's vocals as it was said above...It's always been one of those unknown treasures to me, that almost nobody has ever heard of.
It never fails to make me smile, they were and sounded so young (and so was I :'( ) ahhhh memories....

General Comment:its "underneath the sky OF RED" instead of "above" and "Am I living in a land...." instead of "I am living..." check "the masterplan" booklet you'll see.

General Comment:One of the best songs to walk to, liam makes the lyrics sound 10x better than what they are. no idea of the meaning though

General Comment:When I was younger and first started getting into Oasis I thought the lyrics were
'He has no face, and he has no name
And he's 'round about the size of a gnome'
My brother took the piss for weeks...
