Do as I say not as I do because
The shit so deep you can't run away
I beg to differ on the contrary
I agree with every word that you say
Talk is cheap and lies are expensive
My wallet's fat and so is my head
Hit and run and then I'll hit you again
I'm a smart ass but I'm playing dumb
Standards set and broken all the time
Control the chaos behind a gun
Call it as I see it even if
I was born deaf, blind and dumb
Losers winning big on the lottery
Rehab rejects still sniffing glue
Constant refutation with myself
I'm a victim of a catch twenty two
I have no belief
But I believe
I'm a walking contradiction
And I ain't got no right

My Interpretation:This song refers to people who are full of shit, dishonest and hypocritical folks basically. It reminds me of a girl who gave every impression of being into me yet ultimately was just using me physically and emotionally to feel better about herself. I listen to it when I wanna tune in with the resentment I feel about that.

General Comment:I think as we age we all learn to tolerate contradiction.
Everybody is a walking contradiction. Who cares?
I don't need to know all of the answers and besides
WHO HAS THEM? We are all f-ed up in our unique ways.

I just love knowing my friends love me for my quirks.
And I love them for theirs. Wouldn't try to "fix"
a damn thing. That is the truth and it is beautiful.

    General Comment:Ok, analysis time XD

It's about sell-out bands, who are all good to start out with, but once fame comes into the picture, completely lose grasp of their goals and moralities.

My example( and I'm not saying everyone should agree with this, not at all) is Miley Cyrus. ' Do as I say, not as I do?' Fits perfectly. 'Hannah Montana' is telling every little girl to be herself, accept other people etc, but Miley's out there being a little whore? I'm sorry, but it is a perfect example, and fits the song well. There are plenty of other lines I could mention, but this post would get too long XD

General Comment:"Do as I say not as I do because", OMG this is so me lol, I cant stop giving up some stupid advice to people, but I never know what to do when I'm in trouble and can't seem to keep out of it.

But hey, I think I'm not the only one feeling that way
