Well i know no one is gonna read this coz its the last one but its not about relationships not being meant to be. Its about stupid girls who always say i love you and shit and the guy in the ralationship is just like yeah i cant actually say that i love you. girls just seem to take things so seariuosly and wnted this deep commitment and guys just wanna hook up basically. Its like my gf atm shes sooo fuking anoying and i cant wait to go away for a week just so i can get some fucking space.

The way Mark wrote this song, combining simple lyrics like "words like forever, they scare the shit out of me" with amazing verses like "But I think its for the best that you and I just don't connect", the way he mixed easy, elementary lines with a verse like that says a lot about his songwriting ability.

Does anyone else hear the influence of the Cure?

why is it that nowadays singing about anything other than getting faded or smacking bitches is considered "emo"?
it's not emo to have a song that expresses emotion
emo is like "I'm a rich, white boy from suburbia, but no one understands me, and my parents suck, and I'm gonna cut myself"

Bebe182, please lets not catagorize blink into the emo category. No offense to you at all but i dont think blink fits the emo style of music. The song does start of sad and depressing yet like always they pick it up in the end like grunge-monkey said. Blink seems to have a thing for doing this even in adams song they bring things together in the end to say everything will work out fine

It's strange this is suppose to be a really depressing song but I dont really thinkof it like that.....It starts of slow then goes into a punk poppy bursts into a louder song alltogether...

The songs in away is like the song Waggy From Dude Ranch....The fear the responsability of a serious relationship at a young age....it has a pretty obvious meaning girl likes Mark but he doesn't feel the same way......maybe he doesn't want to be a jerk and just ditch her so he feels guilty and doen that he cant feel the same way because she is a nice person.......

The word Cacophony mean a harsh sound which probably relates to the time when he tells the feelings he has to the girl and the feeling inside him are load and disturbing making him feel extremely guilty...but like waggy the end of the song suggests they are young and life goes on alot more time for relationships..... This song I never used to play that often but now I do play it now and then I think because I've never been in a serious relationship I can't relate to it but I can totally understand why people like it so much...... (old skool blink rule)

One of my favs by Blink and EMO for that fact. The lyrics basically state, that he wasn't ready for that "serious" relationship at the time BUT realized after a long time apart he wants her more than anything.

This songs about a relationship that was never ment to work. After it ends he (mark i geuss) comes up with all these excuses of y it didnt work and that if he cood jus go back and make different choices that it wood work, but deep inside he relises that no matter wut they jus wont connect
